I searched through and seen no topic on this except the rap topic, but i think this is kinda different in a way from that topic.

What has been annoying me for some time now, Ive tryed to be polite but now its annoying me. People coming into your topic and putting down your music, what is so hard NOT TO POST! If you dont like that band. Dont post if you dont like it, its that simple. If you dont like we dont want you even posting in it.

Its getting even worse now, seems like everywhere i post they come back with something about the music. Just because we have a avatar or a sig of are favorite band. You people have something negative to say about it. Wow! your cool! Dont say anything if you dont like that band. Thats all I'm saying, whats the point anyway? Your posting a sentence short post, "I think that band sucks."


Well lookie here what does this say? Right there your breaking a rule. See there is no point in saying crap about are music, So stay out of our topics that you dont like. No wait Stay out of all topics you dont like, theres no need to post to things just to get a war going.

And another thing to add to the rule, Ive been seeing a lot of short sentences lately, Why? I think its because the newer users want to get there post numbers up. They think its cool or something. Whats so cool about that wow you reached 1000 points. What now? Lets reach 2000, with useless comments that are 3 worded posts >< grrrr man type actual real comments.

Its so funny how, so many memebers are avoiding this post. Cause it consists of them. Well now they know that it bugs the crap out of me, and they need to stop.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so if someone wants to say that they don't like something, I feel it is their right to do so.

However, I feel that if someone really has to say that they hate something, they could at least do so in a respectful, polite manner. They could also explain WHY they don't like it, instead of just posting 'I don't like it' or 'it sucks.' Here is an example of what they could write instead:


See? Even that is not much, but it adds a whole lot more to the topic, and it doesn't feel like an attack. Variety is the spice of life, so it's nice to see people with different opinions on the forums because it makes life interesting. However, a short uninteresting post has absolutely no point, and can come off as being rather rude - it shows that the poster doesn't care enough and obviously can't be bothered.

See thats what i mean is it so hard to type that? I mean come on people, they need to show a little more respect. They need to not state things like that theres no need for it.

Because I'm getting sick of the stupid comments and rude. Just stay out of the topics you dont like how hard is that?

I do agree to an extent. It gets annoying and boring to constantly see people saying "This music is rubbish" or "Hah, like I'd listen to that!".
There's no need for it and as you said, it's such a short answer that it should really be completely ignored.



Agreed with Canis on that one though. Friendly disagreement is fine, it's when it ends up as flames and fights that it gets ridiculous.

On the short posts thing:
To be honest I'm getting really sick of seeing it. Starsky is right saying it's been around since the site was made but it's becoming a joke at the moment.
There's no need at all to post saying "I'm totally agreed!!" or "I don't like it much". It's a waste of space and the introductions board is the worst with so many people posting only "Welcome :]", it's good to welcome new members but add at least something to your post and the introductions themselves aren't much better with often it only consisting of "Hi, I'm new here! *about 3 smilies*".

I am beginning to wonder if mods should just delete posts like that to save space. I am also pretty sure a lot of people do it simply to raise their post count, why? I have no idea. It's not like you get a special gift for reaching several thousand posts...

Yeah no kidding, I really think the mods should do something about it. Deleting them would help a lot out with space like you said. And there is really no need for them in the first place so why have them? You have noticed to about the post count? Annoying hu? Its really childish Wow! you reached 2000 points woopdedoo!!!!

For the music put downs i think the mods should really watch over the music section for a while, and maybe give off warnings to stop. So at least some of them will stop cause its really bothering me.

I agree with everything you wrote, Adder. People these days just go out of their way to be rude to others. I mean you could simply state why you don't like the band politely rather than say "*Band name* SUCKS!!! AND YOU SUCK FOR LIKING IT:evil: !!!!" I for one am not a fan of rap but I don't go around saying "Rap sucks!! How could you like that music?!?!?!?!?!!?" If I don't like something written in a topic I might as well just leave it alone rather than start a flame war. I don't post in topics I don't like. I mean, how hard is it?

Yeah no kidding! I just dont reply to the ones i dont like, and so should everybody else. It would solve some major problems, but you know that will never happen. Because of the people on here are to rude and incunsiderate to go out of there way to not post.
