Alright, this is a book I'm trying to get published, its nearly complete. Please note this is NOT fanfiction, its an actuel book that I'm going to publish and I want to get it out there before I publish it. I will post the prolog and part of the first chapter here, the prolog first and a bit of a teaser. I will also write that little bit that I'll probably have on the back of the book. Anyway, heres the prolog!

Heroes of the Wild Side: Book One
The Genesis Project.

Prologue

For years, humankind has wondered about the wide number of animal species that share this planet with us. A question that comes up frequently is do animals think, or in a more spiritual point of view do animals have souls? Humans have asked such questions hundreds of thousands of times over the time of our race’s dominants of earth and over and over again we have tried and failed to come up with a definite answer as to rather animals’ natural instincts just give the illusion of thoughts and feelings or is it the other way around? Is humanity just unable to believe another species on this planet is capable of thought? What if that was true and we were wrong?
Then in 1952, a similar question was brought about. This was when the first cloned animal, a simple tadpole, was created. Years later in 1997, possibly one of the best-known clonings took place, Dolly the sheep. Despite all the ethnical controversy over this subject, and genetic engineering in general, the question that is commonly overlooked by scientists should clones be considered alive? They do all the things a living being does but being the genetically copy of an already living organism are they alive in their own right? The same questions that apply to animals apply to cloned animals. Can clones think or do clones have souls and if clones have souls are they too identical copies of the original creature? Was Dolly the exact copy of her donor in every since or did she have a mind of her own, different from it? In addition, the ethical questions about this ‘Genetic Age’ such as is man trying to play God or have we gone to far are ever present.
Perhaps the most terrifying question of all is what if we created something we couldn’t control and couldn’t stop? What would happen if the Genetic Age unleashed a living weapon of mass destruction? What if while trying to play God we created a preverbal devil? A creature the likes of which man has never before seen and may not be able survive. This also raises another question, is the creation the monster or is it the creator? And what if this monster was only the beginning of something far more evil? What if at the same time heroes were born? For every question, there is an answer. This is the story of what would happen if all those questions’ answers were yes. A story of monsters, a mad scientist and his creation, the first set out to rule humankind and the other to destroy it. A story of a mysterious project and the heroes; animal, human, and clone, who must unite to unravel its secrets and stop it before its mastermind rules the world or the project itself destroys it. But this is not where the story starts; our story begins ten years in the past when the Genesis Project began.
