As you'll know, occasionally someone will make an account to come on here and attempt to upset the Shout Box. What annoys me more, is how some of the older members who I'd expect to know better fight back, which only leads to an SB war.

Honestly everone. If you ignore them they'll get bored and either go away or start following the rules. They're what's called a "troll". Sound Familiar? You aren't supposed to feed them your reactions.

Even some of the mods retaliate instead of just banning them or giving them a warning!

Shouldn't we just ignore the trolls? I know it's bad when they come on and try to upset people, but the sooner you ignore them, the sooner they stop.

Agreed. Like you said, the best thing to do is ignore them. They will have nothing to flame at. If they continue, report them to the mods.

Actually to tell you the truth members know the trouble the troll is causing but they argue, provoke or fight back to either show the member that he's breaking the rules, unwanted and should leave or they do it for entertainment. Laughing off what ever swears and threats the troll gives, while keeping themselves controlled. This doesn't bother some members knowing he will get banned later. Ignoring is the Easiest thing to say but the hardest thing to do.

Well, anyways, I agree. People need to ignore these trolls...Although, at times it can be difficult to ignore. I think replying is alright, depending on what you say. If all you have to say to them is teasing or insults, then, you should not reply. I admit, I have replied to them, but I can't recall a time when I have actually fueled the fire...If I had, it must have been a while ago when I was younger and less mature than I am now. (Yes, I am capable of having some maturity when it counts XD)

Anyway, I agree with you for the above reasons.
