Ok. This annoyes the heck out of me.

You see people who keep saying they should be a mod because they've been on the site for such a long time! Oh! But wait! Then it says they joined a week ago! Yeah. That's sure a long time. I hate it when people do this! Not to mention if they've been banned!

Also, I get a tad annoyed with people who have been on here for years and whine. They didn't get to be a mod. However, who would think the solution would have been that they've been banned several times!? Also, that they don't come on very often. If you want to be a mod, you HAVE to be on almost everyday!

Also, of cource, you have to know A LOT about the site before becoming one! Some people don't even know how to send in fan works! That drives me insane.

Also, just to get it out of my system, people are always putting suggestions that we need more mods! C'mon people! We weren't born yesterday! We all know you just hope of getting a mod jobby putting a suggestion! Geez! Besides, look at the staff page. We have over enough!

Agreed i've seen it several times as well. In fact there has actually been another topic added in the suggestions i want to be a mod.. Mainly what people want to be a mod for is abuse the power and show their superiority to members. They just want that position to pretty much show off not to help member. Probably they would go on a banning rampage or probably ban members for no reason.. It really gets annoying...

It's my belief,that only people that have signed up in 2005,or 2006,should be allowed to be Mods,because they're the ones with the experience.

Most people only want to be mods because they think it'll make them popular which is really pretty silly.
As has already been said, the site has enough mods and when we think more are needed all the mods talk about who would be suited as one.
It really doesn't matter how long someone has been here but more how often they're online, if they've been in trouble before and how well they know the site.

It does get tiring seeing people go on and on about being a mod all the time. =/

Actually, I don't agree, a member from 2007 could of come to the site and get the mod job because he deserves it, or Togo/steet thinks he dose. And also the've got to be active.





Anyway, onto topic, I did start up a topic saying "Not enough mods" but it turned into a fact of "Too meany INACTIVE mods" witch to me, is the case at the moment.

Being a moderator is not about how long you've been a member of the site nor is it a popularity contest. It's about choosing a member who is mature in all ways and can handle the job, no matter what section they're assigned to and can also handle any big situations, such as taking care of the shoutbox.

Yes Of course you have to trust them, but most recomendation is that the've been here for a long time so *shrug*

I totally agree with this topic. I have a big problem understanding why so many members want to be a mod. Guess it's just because they want to be popular, as said above...

And all of this asking to be a mod crap really needs to stop! It only shows how immature that person is. And most of the time to people who just beg to be a mod could never handle the job. So why waste your time trying to be one and begging? If you ask, you wont become one, lmao.

And heck yeah, a week sure makes you an old member. Wow, and two weeks must make you a super old member.

well i haven't been here for a while and nor do i wanna be a mod (hehe i'd probs suck) yet am on other topics telling people telling them that their topic is inappropriate and mods thank me lol but hey ye.. and to be honest i haven't seen one person (or basically in the matter looked through every topic in every section) and haven't seen a person say anything about this lol but a new mod would be cool.. hehe but obviously not a popularity contest.. also to know what you're doing, what you're committing yourself too and to the site and mods and the admin, and you have to be all the time so that'd be making an effort to be on everyday for certain times and so on. Sure being a mod is fun since i'm home bored 24/7 most of the time or walking my dazzling dogs. But it's not for us to whine or suddenly say "i want to be a mod.".. i think that would be the admin's and mod's jobs to do and also picking the right person for it.. hehe okay i'll shush too much talking

I'd prefer something fresh instead of the same stale rant.

Ah youngsters asking to be mods, seems like everyday they do this. And i dont know about older members asking to be mods all the time, I havnt seen one ask? But i sure do know that almost every single new member has. And NO! we dont need more mods, i think we have way to many in the first place, seems like everytime i turn my back theres a new one.

And yes there is way to many topics already on this, and yes people will still post more of them. And most of the rant topics have been posted over and over and over again. Its annoying and frusterating, they dont get it. How hard is it to look at the old topics and post to one of them? Not very hard!

I think why they post over and over again is because the new members want to get up there post numbers. So they can have more stars, or more points then that person. Its like a compitition, its LAME!!! New members need to grow up.
