Animation Source Forums

Yes we have an Animation / Cartoons, board and a Films / Series, board but I think a board for you tube and similar videoclip, short movie, and home videos would be great.


We could post links to our favorite you tube videos, and they wouldn't get lost among all the other threads about movies, series etc.

What do you think ?

Nah, those can go into the Other board. There are hardly any topics on YouTube videos as it is and the ones most posted are music videos made by members which go into the Fan More sections.

I think it would most likely end up a mess and probably dead as most videos people like to post/watch are either gory or have swears in them or are illegal of course.

I agree with that, i've there youtube clips there normally based on Songs, funny clips or somthing witch belongs in other sections like video traliers belong in films/series section.

No. As UK pointed out there is no point have having you tube vids as it already will go in the fan vids section and will become dead later in addition to that It will waste space as it takes more space to build a board and that space could be saved instead by posting in the topics.

Well actualy, starting a new board dose not take up that much database, however it will take up more for the video's and Youtube clips too be seprate. Anyway, I do feel that the database on the forum si diffrent too the site, since the forum is hoted by phpBB.

Yes it is different and is infact seperate from the phpbb forum you got over here. but why waste time going all the way to have a completly seperate board. for something while you already got a topic avablie which is of course will increase the response rate with the already topics posted there. it will take a pretty good while to get used to navaigate through the forums without getting confused or lost in the middle which can happen

Well yeah, no point adding another board, people post thing sin the wrong section now.

It's not a matter of space, it's a matter of getting a clean organization on the forums.
I think making a section dedicated to videos is irrelevant, for the reason that videos may concern any of the other sections : balto, lion king, fanarts, fan videos, other, etc...
