Well, this is just a question that keeps bugging me from time to time. Do you think that the member's that havn't been here for a year or more should be mod's? because i think that the member's that know the site more than a member that has been here for like 2 months should have the job of being a mod.
and im not talking about age groups im talking about how long a member has been on the site.

Please don't flame this topic, it's just a question that i needed to ask...

Hmm... Not sure how too answer this. Are you saying that new members should get Mod jobs? Or longer members?

Meh. Yes and no.

If the member was only there for a few months and was made a mod...it's because he\she was useful and helpful to the site. And besides, if Steet does ever make a mistake about picking a mod, he can always undo his decision.

It's not necessarily how long you've been here, but how and what you contribute to the site that counts.

I think a member that has been here for a long time possibly has a better chance as people have gotten to know them but it's not "set in stone" that you have to be a member here for a long time before you're even considered, I know I wasn't here a year before I was made a mod and also know I'm not the only one.

That's the perfect way to explain it right there.

No, like others are saying. New members don't know much about the site. They need the time to get used to how the site works. A member needs to prove themself worthy of a job. Also, I would wait at least a half a year before chooseing someone to be on the staff. In that time period the staff and the webmaster should be watching to see if they are usefull or not. Like, helping out by saying, "no sms please or that's aginst the rules".

I honestly believe that young members should not be mods. they may know alot about the site, but do thye know enough? Most likely not.

So yeah, I say that moderators should have at least been a member for a year or more. (I know it sound slike alot, but it's really not) But I guess if a new member follows the rules that easily and tries to help out, then they can be made mods early. Though I'd prefer to see older members mods here. =/

Well, it would be diffrent if the member had an account on here for a few years and just started a new account?

You mean had an account for a year or more and then deleted it and started a new one? Well that would be like, different then what I'm saying. I'm talking about a real new member, not an old member that deleted his account and made a new one.

So why do you say "so so"? You should post some reasons why.
