I disagree. It's in human DNA basically to randomly commit acts of violence for no reason even when they are perfectly stable. It's always been happening and always will be. Humans are nothing more than something to destory one another in some ways. -shrug-

And yeah, I heard about it. Sad indeed how heartless people can be.

Yes...maybe so. But we know it was either money or jealousy unless he was completly insane....those two are supposedly the roots of all evil...

Well, China is not safe anymore, not after the terrorism threat and the political conflict 'teen China and Tibet it isn't. That's a shame how he died... all of the sudden, but luckily that didn't dampen the team's spirit and they still won the medal in the end, right? :wink:

The assailant's motive could be anywhere between the Political and the Terrorism scale or by suggesting that he was mentally unstable at the time... but I doubt it. He jumped himself after that so the Chinese police were unable to find anything.

where'd you'd read that? I've never been to social myself (mainly besause those random acts of violence were mainly directed toward me even now at times) but I wouldn't say we're all doomed to commit such acts, there are a few very few people out there that wouldn't attack anyone.

No rain, its in the human mindset to be drawn to violence and darkness. For instance, did you know that humans are naturally drawn to dark corners?

Er, sorry if you find that 'scary'. But in reality it is the truth. Yes, there are good people in the world, and most humans can deny their 'true' nature easily. I am absolutly not saying that all people are secretly evil, but scientifically it was proven that we are in fact drawn to violence.

Lol. I have to read it in a book to know that humans are one of the most violent things on this earth - if not THE most violent? That's rich. :] Really now, how many wars have been fought? How violent are those wars? It's in our NATURE to be violent. All humans somewhere have that instinct. It's a "cold, hard fact" that you'll have to learn once you actually get into High School and take knowledgeable history classes where the teacher doesn't sugar coat things.

And I never said we are all "doomed to commit such acts". There are some people who are "good", but predominatly, there are the ones who would commit acts of violence. And everyone will commit one at one point in their life, and probably many many MANY more. It can range from hitting to yelling. Acts of violence aren't always physical. ;_;
