yeah, i've received a few of those types myself where people advertise contests or join a site. it's really annoying if you ask me. i consider it spam cause it's kinda useless.

Yea they really are annoying. i got just a few about contests... well do you think Steet should add an option that allows only friends added on your friend list to pm you? ofcourse the mods and admin can pm you no matter what. but this should reduce people from spamming you

You've reported them? I've personally not seen a report from you on PMs box spam. If it continues, just tell them to stop nicely, then block them if necessary.

I've been getting these too. They also make me add comments to their site and tell me were to go. That person is now on my foe list.

steet may not be able to do this, unless he links the friend list's from the forums to the site, since this forum is hosted by phpBB 3 Now! this may not be done.

I find it really annoying. If you want to advertise something, put it in your signature or something. PM stands for Private Message and I've always considered it to be used for more personal conversation. I also like PMs that have had a little thought put into them, instead the same cut-and-paste message that's been sent to 50 other members.

Personally I just delete any PMs like that as soon as see them, no need to really read it or reply but if they continue to spam me with them I just reply "No. :]" and that's almost always the end of it.

This is what I gotten from this one person. I was annoyed when I recieved this and that they were telling me what to do.

It can be annoying but at the same time It could actually be cool most of it is spam but I Like to see new sites Also this is just my opinion and I dont want to cause a flame war.

That's the one I got. They did the same to me. she forced me to add a comment. She forced me were to go. If she's webranking her sites, then she is doing is poorly.

Welll i agree there and I have to admit Im one of those people and Im not proud of it I just was trying to get more memebrs But I have stoped doing that all together as I can see that is not how to do it.
