Has anyone heard of a stumpy-tailed cat? I have. I own one.
Depending on their stumps, these cats have different names. Here are their names below:
Stumpies
Stumpies have barely any stump at all. If you felt around it's rear end, you'd feel nothing more than a small bump.
Rumpies
Rumpies have stumps that are visible but the stumps can't move at all. Unlike stumpy-tailed cats, rumpies have more than just a small bump.
Rumpy-Risers
Rumpy-Risers are visible stumps that are free to move about. The cat that I own is a Rumpy-Riser.

Well, that seems to be it for the stumpies of the cat family. Hope this is good enough for ya!

Oh no...they were born tail-less. I'd find it to cruel to buy a cat with a chopped off tail.

ah okay :) .. well hope to see pictures and i know one breed (not sure if it's born with or without a tail) lol but a a Japanese bobtail :P kinda obvious.. what other breeds are born with or without tails ? :) i'd like to know more hehe since i'm not a big cat person more into dogs

and Lowin i did read your post i'm not blind and the reason why i say people don't read mine is cause they don't respond to it properly and dogs have nothing to do with cats and i call it spam cuz i was talking about dogs ears and so again Lowin i tell you for like the 5th time READ my post thoroughly if i was referring it to you.. i wouldn't have put a massive space in between my post... lol geez  you people get soo up tight about posts you don't read carefully

Oh well...she could have some Japanese bobtail in her but I know for sure that she has tabby in her because of the stripes and the M on her forehead! :P

Well, if you want to find out more, Google it or find a book about cat breeds because I surely don't know anything else about stumpies. lol
