I agree and dis-agree with this topic because, it will probably bring users to start writing nicer comments, and also for the person being praised it might encorage them to say write more fan fics or draw more art, BUT there is a chance some members might start spamming, and we could see alot of doble posting for one member.

I'm afraid I dis-agree. Yes, they do spam and doble post all over the board BUT it will prrobably be the 'spam center' of the board. As say, somone posted "I like Dragon Tamer's Fan fics", and than probably, alot of other people will create the same topic.

Well, a heart beat? Maybe Ultima Wolflux but thats it, UK is active, and Swords is fairely active, here is a little round up of the staff:

Steet - Activish
Zekee_US - Confusing, wasen't logged on from 06, now not that active though..
Togo: Actvish
Drew: Not Active (Reasond though)
Uk: Active
Swords: Activish
Ultima Wolfux: Completely active.

Or maybe we should have a Forum section mod over the forum if this is created, but still, the spam and doble posting rates I feel would go up nearely doble!

I disagree with this. I suppose it could do some good, but why open up more risks for the sake of little good? We don't need a few people up on the popularity pedestal. People's efforts to the forum are generally self-sufficient. If you treat people well and with respect, you will often have both coming your way. If you contribute to the forum, people will appreciate your contribution and leave their appreciation via a reply to, say, fanfiction, or fanart. There just happens to be a lot going on this particular month, regarding forum issues. And yes, despite some stuff, this a generally good forum. But that doesn't call for a praise board. Those who deserve praise will get it through other means.

Friends would make several topics for all their friends, there would be loads of copy-topics for 'popular' members and people would get angry like "How come no one's made one for me??".

It would mean tons of work for us to keep it in check and with only me and Lux around at the moment as Togo is away we'd be pushed and even when Togo comes back, that's only 3 of us.

i acually agree that this would be a pretty good idea. And white wolf, wasn't i just reading something you typing not that long ago (only abou 2 weeks ago) that you were most of the time BORED, and just browsing the forums, not doing much anyway? look at it this way, you wouldn't be AS bored if you had another board to keep your eyes on now would you, that goes for Flux too. I think it would be a neat thing to try out just for a little while, and see what happens. If it starts getting just way outa hand, it could simply be removed. :wink:

Infact, Swords is fairely active, so you should include him in the picture. But still I agree with you about the issue.

Actually, it sounds pretty interesting. I also would like to see more positive, instead of seeing people saying "this is bad, I don't like this, etc..." all the time (you're acting just like typical frenchies :mrgreen:

)
I would especially like to know what people especially like on the site, which sections. Most often I add that section or that function, but I rarely get any "return" on whether they like it or not.

That's what I fear, though. But, should we always prevent us from doing something because we fear something would happen? Maybe we could just try. If it becomes spam-land, then the solution would be to remove it.

I'm waiting for other opinions, but I'm positive to this idea.
