First of all, welcome to the site! :) Whether you're new or not and having a look at this, I hope it helps.

First things first; you need a good way to draw. Many people use Photoshop, Coral Painter, online sketchers (such as on Artgrounds, here on BS, and iScribble). Others even draw them 100% by hand.

-You need to save your drawing as .JPEG, .GIF (for animations), or .PNG to send on the site (these are supported file types). You can do this by, after clicking "save as," clicking the drop-down arrow underneat the area where you "name" your file.

Once you have it saved, you can follow this route to send the image(s):

Step One:
After you've sucessfully saved your image to your computer, log onto Balto Source and click "Send to the Site." (Members won't have the "Moderator Panel," mind you. ^^')

Step Two:
Scroll down on the new page and find "Drawing" (or "Image"), and click it.

Step Three:
You need to aquaint yourself with the rules. There are examples displayed on the next page; be sure that your artwork follows these rules. If not, they won't be accepted onto the site by moderators. (Trust me; there are many more than just what my screen capture shows - but it takes only seconds the review them.)

After you have reviewed the rules, click "Continue" at the bottom of the page to move on.

Step Four:
Now you can send your file! You can select the image by clicking the "Browse..." button. After you do that, you can add a title and description (which is optional). Once you do that, select "Send the Picture" (if it's a Balto/TLK drawing, don't forget to check the box!).

Fan Art Rules!

-Be sure that the drawing has no gore. Some gore, which isn't explicit (it doesn't show a lot) is allowed. Gore (such as from high-quality horror movies, like SAW) that is explicit isn't allowed.

-No adultery! This means no smoking, drinking, or sexually suggestive material in your artwork.

-You are not allowed to use real photographs in your pictures. Some, however, are accepted. But you're not supposed to use them (this can cause copyright infringment with the photographer.)

-Try to keep your fanart as Balto/TLK-related as possible. Other wolves/lions, winged wolves/lions, and breeds you make yourself are accepted.

-You must have at least one Balto/TLK drawing in your gallery in order to have your gallery accepted! If not, the moderators will not submit your artwork to the site until you do.

-All drawings must have a creature in it featured in the movies. This includes ravens, meerkats, Gray wolves, African lions, and other African/Balto creatures. Domestic cats go onto the "TLK side," while anything canine goes to the "Balto Side."

-If the drawing isn't directly Balto- or TLK-related, don't check the little box! If it's not fanart, just don't check the box - as long as you have one, the moderators will accept it.

-Don't load your entire gallery with off-topic drawings. This means; no gallery should have 100% anthros in them. Anthros, for one, weren't in the movies (but are accepted).

-Most importantly, NO STEALING! This goes for poses, as well. If you drew a pose from a photograph or someone else's drawing, or drew a photograph for practise, tell! If you don't cite your work, it's considered "art theft" by the moderators and it's not tolerated on the site. One will have one (and only one) warning, and a moderator will remove the picture until one cites their references. If it happens again, one will serve a ban and their gallery deleted.

This'll be most useful for newer members. I'm sure it'll be very helpful for newbies with an artistic side to them!
