Eulogy is one of my personal favorites from their Aenima album.
Vicarious and Jambi from 10,000 days are also pretty good, though it is their weakest album in my opinion.
You've probably heard the title track from Aenima, but I do recommend it (if language isn't an issue with you).

Tool are pretty over rated, there are much more interesting, innovative and creative bands out there.

There are more innovative bands out there, yes, but Tool are one of the only ones of these kinds of bands to break through to the mainstream, and show the posers how it's done. That's a big part of their popularity. Many people have been converted from mainstream crap to the more creative and less known bands, and have Tool to thank for it.

Show poseurs what? How to pose? How's that any more innovative than some other MTV pushed garbage like MCR?

Also for future reference: Unknown =/= good.

Normally, I'd try to reason with you, and we could have an intelligent discussion like civilized human beings, but since you just seem to be flaming, I won't. I'll just suggest that you leave this thread, and keep listening to your series of irritating screeches and grinding noises that is commonly referred to as "death metal".

Sound good?

I'm the one flaming? '...and keep listening to your series of irritating screeches and grinding noises that is commonly referred to as "death metal".'. Even if you'd have listened to the music that I do you'd still be wrong to assume that it was all death metal and perhaps realise the genre you are referring to is actually grindcore. Maybe if you weren't just responding in defence of Tool and actually addressed the point which I have raised you might actually have been able to formulate a direct response rather than having a stab at my taste.

If the only way in which you could defend Tool was by resorting to the "You're flaming" argument, I suppose you're just another one of Tool's "Useful Idiots".

Alright then, I will. The "show posers how to pose" thing is not a counter-argument. It is simply the exploitation of a loophole.
Second, you may not like Tool, but they surely deserve more credit than MCR (one of the worst bands of the last decade).
Third, I admit that the whole "screeching noises" thing was a cheap shot, and am sorry for it.
Also, I saw some of your posts on the day that was posted (the thing with A7x seemed like a low blow, although I'm not their biggest fan), and they seemed somewhat derogatory.

You have right to be pissed at me after my last post, but don't throw gasoline on the fire and mistake it for water, because that proves you are no better than me as far as this argument goes.

You know that old saying about arguing over the internet, right?

I wasn't angry. In fact I was probably enjoying it more than anything. The post on A7x was directly intended to be offensive. However, "Showing Poseurs how to pose" is a comment I made because they've forged the mould for many mediocre alternative rock bands since Aenima, which ever part of the mould each band chose to use. I must admit that I enjoyed Aenima to an extent but after listening to it and listening to Lateralus through to 10,000 Days they hadn't progressed any further with their sound whereas other bands (that I currently enjoy) ended up superseding Tool in both their sound and depth. After Aenima they just seemed to reach the point in saying (with their music) "Well, we've got a sound, people like it, we like it, so let's leave it at that". And yes, they deserve a mountain respect over MCR, but then again there's no real contest between most bands and MCR.

I'm not trying to prove a point, I'm trying to win an imaginary pissing contest called on internet. Don't take this the wrong way at all, I'm glad there's finally someone on here with a bit of game. And grammar.

Well stated. However, laying the groundwork for mediocre bands doesn't quite lower the quality of your own. Rage Against the Machine paved the way for crap like Linkin Park, and Pearl Jam did the same for Creed.
