can anyone recommend a good brand or brands of DVD decoder/s (for making fan images etc)?

yes I can the ine I use is clone DVD it is a british softwere that I got form my uncle. you can not get it in stores but Cna get it online you will also need Anydvd to get the decoder. There are others I am sure but it is a good softwere Look it up on google it will tell you more about it

CloneDVD, is an illegal pogram. (Depending how you use it.) If you use it to copy, Balto, that is illegal. Or if you want to use it to copy movies, you took, that is okay.

Why do you need to have a DVD pogram, to make fan images?

The reason I want to make fan images is because of this message get when I try to put A DVD in my computer I get his message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."

I cant do anything with any DVD (not even play it), since my Computer crashed last year. I got an earlier version of Microsoft Office for Windows which was later changed to version 10.
Ever since the crash I haven't been able to do anything wit DVDs on my computer-not even simply play them.

I want pictures for Fan images (plus siggys etc not from Balto or The lion king) which I cant find anywhere else.

I see what your getting at. You want to play the DVD, to get screenschots? (correct me if I'm wrong.) If your not looking for Balto or Lionking, what are you looking for? Insted of downloading a pogram that, will most not do you any good (All it does is, make copys of DVDs.) Anyway, The best I can say is, your computer might have a virus. If you have a recovery disk, I would use it. (It will remove stuff you added to your computer. Images ,programs etc...) Another thing you could do is, replace your DVD drive, with a new one. (I would have a store do it, or someone in your family, who knows what they are doing.) The only other thing is, if that is to much work, then I myself, would look for a new computer. I know it sounds like alot of money, but a new computer, might be the best choice. Goodluck.
