If you're looking for something to write about, then I'll give you ideas. You don't have to use these ideas they're just to give you a heads-up on what to write in your fic. (Plus I also included the different parts to a fic.)
Since the rules of writing a fic say that the fic has to be Balto/dog related, make sure that your story includes atleast one dog/wolf character. Also make sure that there isn't too much blood and violence since this is a kid friendly site. And remember make your story neat and able to read. (By that I mean don't make it confusing.) And make sure that it's ATLEAST 100 words.
Now, here are some ideas for an enjoyable fic:
Write about love or a relationship between two dogs. It's always good to have a slightly emotional love fic once in a while.
Write about action or something tragic like an avalanche or a sledrace. Those fics keep readers on the edge of their seats.
Write something long like an epic novel including some sort of quest. It may be long, but it'd be good!
Write a sequel to one of the Balto movies or rewrite the Balto story. It'd be an adventure from your mind!
Now that you have some ideas of what to write, go and write a good fic that people would like to read over and over again!
