I made an edit on my topic, "Toby Series Art Contest," and then tried to go to it. It's gone! I tried the link and it says the topic doesn't exist! This sort of thing has been happening to me a lot lately, and I'm getting pretty bugged. Does anyone know what's going on?

Its probably a bug. Try pming a mod or Steet. I am sure its a bug if not then I don't know.

If you made an edit to your topic and it disappeared, you most likely checked the "Delete topic" option (as it's avaliable to members' own topics, I believe).

I did make an edit, but I sure as heck wasn't trying to delete it! Is there any way to recover it?

I am afraid that's not possible, as the topic is purged from the database once deleted.

Are you sure? I've heard there are ways to recover deleted data sometimes.
If nothing else, I'd at least like a list of people who posted so I can tell everyone.

weird..... maybe, just maybe, the mods or steet have a deleted folder, just like on hotmail. or maybe not...good luck

Afraid there are only taken permanent backups of member databases. All other backups are also permanent, with one exception: If you delete something on the forums, it's gone forever.

Oh, it's not what I put in that bothers me. It's what everyone else put in. A lot of peole entered that contest, and I can't even begin to remember all of them.

maybe if it's a contest someone had a problem with it and got a mod to delete it... i don't know if they can do that though...

There was nothing wrong with the topic, and I made numerous steps to see there wouldn't be. I'm fairly certain it was my own mistake.

If not you'd have to hope all people who entered would re-post their entries for you.



Nah, that wouldn't happen. Even if a member did decide they had a problem with it and reported it we wouldn't delete a topic unless it truely HAD to be deleted e.g. The topic is complete spam, contains explicit links/pictures etc.

That's what I figured. Well, at least I know my conscience is clear.

Sorry to hear this Dragz, you must of axidently deleted it. Maybe like Wolffer said they can re-post them, i shouldn't think it is that hard. Unless they forgot about it...
