ok well i have another rant or 2 i should say about adoptions ..i haven't been here as long as some people but long enough to notice such things. 1. First i have to say about people (who i won't name) that adopt sooooo many wolves/dogs and whatnot and only draw them ONCE and thats it.. and yes i've been to several peoples gallery's and it's been ages and they have it on like page 3 or 4 and drew diffrent images. It's happened to me on my wolf adoption and not yet have i seen more than 5 or so people that draw the ones they have adopted... anyone has a say?? 2. Now i've seen a few but not many.. it just kind of.. i don't know bug me i guess but it irritates me in a way that i don't it's kind of ye lol.. well ever noticed that some adopting topic owners post "Use your own art and be creative and no renders or line art".. and the fact that they themselves used line art or renders.. not saying anything bad but like.. why can you use line art and the people who adopt can't ?? just saying .. well those are my 2 rants sorry if there is a topic on this but haven't seen one .. but TRY to avoid flamming .. cuz i don't see anything to really flame about here... thanks - Shadowe -

See, this is why I either give away characters I don't care about or pick people who I know will actually draw them >>
Cuz people don't understand the concept of "adoption."
It means you give your characters (which are ALREADY MADE, meaning you DON'T MAKE THEM FOR THE SAKE OFOTHER PEOPLE HAVING) to someone who'll take care of them. Meaning you still CARE about the character, but you have no use for it. (Sound familiar?)
And for those of you who adopt just to say you adopt? I don't think anyone should trust you with animals. You don't even deserve PETS if you can't even take care of a fictional character.

Interesting I have a rant here.
I have lately seen adoption topics in which people post the adoptables and some have circles saying "mine" or "not for adoption", it pisses me greatly, like, if yu really liked it, just remove it from the batch, you don't have to show everyone that its yours, it's pretty annoying.
Also, I have seen designs that are pretty cool, and after you search, they have been adopted, by the same person, I have seen adoptions batchs in which two or half the adoptables are taken by same username, it piss me also, like leave people a chance. And the worst is when these people gets this adoptables and don't use them, or they say they are gonna writte a huge fic, but...
ADOPT IF YOU HAVE A REASON, IF YOU HAVE A PLOT FOR THE CHAR, NOT ADOPT JUST BECAUSE YOU ADOPT.

And the fictional character thing i believe in that i had to take care of a virtual doggy thing on the net and then i gote a pet rat for another test but ye back on topic. hopefully these people will see this topic and will be like.. "oh i should stop adopting" hehe or something like that

Hmmm...far be it from be to say anything much here, since I admit I am guilty of a lot of things mentioned, but I do have my own thoughts on the subject.
I do notice a least 5 people on the adoption boards who adopt literally from each and every topic, and half the time they either: a) neglect to post a bio to go with the animal. I find this annoying especially if they ask them to wait for them, you do, a month later you get impatient and give the dog to someone else, and they have the rudeness to flame you in PMs. b) never touch the animal again. I agree with Cat: these people shouldn't be trusted with any animal, let alone a real one, if they totally ignore it and don't even botherto put it back up for adoption. c) send in a crap bio and picture and whine if they don't get it. Now really? Grow up... or d) (very rare) they do in fact use the char and post pictures and stories in their gallerys, fics, ect.
I make a lot of adoption topics, and I have made up chars just for the heck of it. I get bored easily, and they are in demand by many people, so i believe there is absolutaly nothing wrong with that. I have also circled dogs from the adoption pictures and decide that they are 'mine'. This usually happens because I don't want the picture to be uncemetrical, or they are all siblings and I can't take them off of the picture. I usually try to refrain from keeping any adoptees, but it's tough sometimes. My worst habit is that I sometimes never use the chars I adopt. However, I always put them back up for adoption when I realize I'm doing this. I'm a notorious pack-rat, but I need to fess up to my flaws when they get to be too much.
Now, on the whole 'give others a chance to try for the adoptee' issue, I have to say that it is extreemly rude of people to do this, especially when they have a due date when they will anounce the winners. It is only excusable when a member clearly posts "First come first serve" on the front page.

i must admit i am guilty but i will only adopt a char if i really really want it such as bam bam who i adopted of WWM. i use her tones and am now writing a fic about her.its completely pointless in adopting a dog/wolf if you think its had a bad life i mean really grow up.... i have also thought that someone adopts because the dog looks cute in that line art or the style of the artist but find out it looks weird in some different pic. even though they are only a char that you draw, render, write about it still takes responsability. phew i'm finished
