The Meadow of Darkness

In the middle of the night, voices could be heard from an unknown meadow. “Come on, stop fooling around,” a girl said. “What its true, this place is haunted,” one of the guys replied. The girl rolled her eyes, not knowing someone or something was watching them. A growl came from behind, “Ok, guys cool it,” she said, she then turned around and they had vanished, then blood spilled out onto the ground, she screamed and started to run, but running into a house which she thought was safe. But, it turned out to be a burial ground, she screamed more, then she blacked out by the big thing that got her brothers.

Guthrie, Oklahoma

“Alright thank you,” Sam said as he walked out of the sheriff’s office. Dean was in his Impala listening to his usual music. Sam got in the car, “Well, we were right about one thing, it is our kind of case,” Sam said to Dean. “Really? Why is that?” Dean asked Sam, looking at his brother. “This girl, Krystal and her brothers, John and Kaleb were out in the meadow in the dark, no one knew they were gone until they heard the screams and were too late,” Sam replied, looking threw the papers the sheriff gave him. “They found bodies of the brothers, but Krystal is reported missing,” Sam added. “So, this thing what do you think it is?” Sam asked Dean. “Don’t know, I never heard of this before, do they have any description on this thing?” he asked Sam. “Just big and scary,” Sam replied to Dean. “This is where we can come in to help, we go to the library and…” trailed off seeing Dean looking the other direction. “Where is he going?” Dean asked, seeing the sheriff walk towards the cemetery.

“I don’t know, we should find out,” Sam replied to Dean. “That is what I was thinking,” Dean replied, he then started his car up and drove towards the cemetery. “You know, if this thing whatever if it has Krystal, I wonder what its doing with her,” Dean said to Sam, thinking out loud. Sam looked at Dean, “I don’t know, maybe its because he has something planned,” Sam replied, “Just hope she is alive when we come to the rescue,” Sam added. “Sammy, the sheriff isn’t…well he…umm…vanished,” Dean said to Sam, interrupting him a little. Sam looked ahead of the car and sure enough Dean was right. “Ok, so he is hiding something, do you think spirits could form into humans?” Sam asked Dean, “And if that’s the case I wonder where the real sheriff is,” Sam added. “Just keep on talking Sammy, I don’t think spirits could do that, if we had dad’s journal, which we don’t it would be easier tracking this thing,” Dean said Sam quickly, after Sam talked. “You’re the one who lost it, not me,” Sam replied to Dean.

Chapter 2:

At the hotel, Sam was on the bed looking for some clues. He then heard a knock coming from the door and and looked at Dean before opening it. "Ruby?" he asked. "You look surprised to see me," Ruby said, she then walked inside. "We didn't know you would come, since this is our job," Sam said to Ruby. "Yeah, so why don't you just leave," Dean said to Ruby. He really never liked her. "Dean, always a charmer," Ruby said to Dean, she then looked back over to Sam. "The thing you are after is a spirit and she doesn't like you two on her turf, and she isn't big and scary as you guys hear about. These town people don't know what a spirit is," Ruby said to him. Dean stood up and made his way over to Ruby and Sam, "Thanks for your time Ruby, now out you go," Dean said to her. "Fine, but I warned you," Ruby said to Dean, she then walked out. Sam looked at Dean after Ruby left, "Dean, I think Ruby is right about the spirit, now we know what we ar up against," Sam said to Dean. "Yeah, but I wanted to find out on my own, not for this demon to tell me," Dean said to Sam.

Sam sighed, "Well, when do you want to go looking for this spirit?" Sam asked Dean. "Right after we have something to eat, I'm starving," Dean replied to Sam. He then out towards the Impala and got inside. Sam followed Dean and locked up to hotel. A girl watched them from afar, she had brown hair and brown eyes, and very mysterious.

Chapter 2 continued....

At the diner, Dean looked over the menu while Sam was thinking of what Ruby said. Suddenly the waitress came and got their orders, then went back to get their food. Dean looked glanced over at Sam. "Hey Sammy, look they have mazes with clowns," Dean said to Sam, knowing how much Sam hated them. Sam glared at Dean, "Haha, very funny Dean," Sam said to Dean. He then saw Dean's dinner plate arriving, and rolled his eyes. His brother always thought about food at times when they could be figuring out stuff. "How can you eat all that?" Sam asked Dean. "I just can," Dean replied to Sam.

Chapter 3:

After the diner, Sam went out to the car to wait for Dean. Dean was talking to the waitress, he then walked out, "Sammy, the waitress said she knew Krystal and her brothers. She said if we need any help to call her," Dean said to Sam, getting into the car. Sam looked over to his brother, "So is that the reason you got her number?" Sam asked Dean. "Yes, why?" Dean asked Sam. "Nevermind, so what we go after Krystal and then what? The spirit or whatever it is will come after us, we have to think this through," Sam said to Dean. Dean turned on his music, "Sam, sometimes its best to follow your instincs then trying to think things through," Dean replied. Sam made a little smile, he then turned and saw the mysterious girl. He cocked his head, "Dean," Sam said to Dean. "What?" Dean asked Sam, he then looked over to him and didn't see anything. Sam looked again and the girl was gone, "That was strange," Sam said, he then looked at Dean, "I saw a girl, and now she is gone," Sam added. "Sure you did," Dean said, he then drove off to the street.

Krystal was at the wherehouse where the spirit had token here, but there was more than one of these around. She wondered where she was and then glanced around, it was so dark and damp.
