One thing that I've noticed recently, is that the visitors often say "you can't access your account, someone must have hacked into it".
In fact, they use the term hacking for any problem occuring with the accounts.
And when I inspect what truly happened, most of the time, this is either a bug or someone who has lost his password. (and in very rare cases, someone who gave his password to other people)
For now, there has never been a single real hacking happening on the site. Want a proof? A true hacker would try to get into the accounts who have the most permissions, which means my account (or at the very least, a moderator account)

So please, stop saying "hacking" when you don't understand the real problems. It's annoying because it could make some visitors who take security issues seriously to go away, when it's not deserved.

I know 2 people have kept on saying. 'Oh someone hacked my account!' and ranting about it OVER AND OVER again. Its really annoying. I mean trolls are coming on. There more important to ban off the site. Well I know hackers are important to ban off the site but there not hacking at the moment.

So I agree with ya Steet.

And I have to agree with Celebi1,it's either a bug,a glitch,or someone forgetting his,or her password.

Yeah, I know...At first I thought it was kinda funny how whenever something would go wrong on the site or someone's account was inaccessible or bugged people jumped to the conclusion that it was a hacker. And that they never even thought about the other more plausible possibilities...But now it's just annoying. It's always hacker this, hacker that. "OMG it must be a hacker !"

Just a day or two ago, someone was saying on the SB that there had been a hacking on the site. I just responded that if it was truly a hacker they'd be aiming for higher and more important things...And they'd most likely be laughing their heads off and tormenting members of the site on the SB. (Like last time)

So, people, you've finally heard it from the webmaster, it's usually a bug or password loss, so drop the hacker obsession.

Unfortunately when one doesn't know what's wrong they assume the worst they know of. Aka, "HACKAR!!"

I totally agree with you, steet. I really think that this site is protected and safe enough for no "hackers" to get in. Now, the trolls are a different story, but I'll keep to the subject here. Now,I know my friend's password, but only to help her with her profile and such. She's still inexperienced, and I know her in RL, so I think it's fine. I'm very trustworthy.

Now, I bet there are some people who get others to trust them and say" I won't give your password away" but then they do and use it against that player. I'm glad there will be no hacking on Baltosource, as I plan on being a member here for a long time. Thanks for making this a safe site, steet! ^^

one word, drama. they keep saying 'OMG, someone has hacked into my account, what will i do!!?' because they are bored and want attention when they just forgot their password. ive seen members complaining mods in the shout box about "hackers"

Depending on who was encoutering the problems and what their activities tended to be, I wouldn't put it past some people on here to hack someone's account or cause glitches in order to deter people they don't like. But that's just the UFO nut's little brother in me talking, so pay no heed to my conspiracy theories.

I still don't think people should overreact on this site at all.
4 reasons I have:
1]This is a kid's site and probably the most strict site I've ever seen besides school websites.
2]You are not supposed to post ANY personal information what-so-ever. So in the event someone DID hack into your account, you shouldn't worry too much.
3]The drama on here is over little internet issues, mind you. Everyone seems to think every problem is the end of the world.
4] Assumptions got the person shot. (figurative speech, mind you) It just means if you assume something right away, the truth is gonna show up in a rather unpleasant way.

Basically just dont worry about these issues and don't ASSUME anything. The mods surely can help if something goes wrong on your account. Surely, you have a member here on you're other websites or messengers who could inform them if you cannot.
Theres my advice.
