Hi everyone i've recently watched once again these touching movies of I Am Sam well not recently but back in 10th grd and Simon Burch which these movies have touched my heart
. If none of you know these movies i'll explain and maybe you'll have an interest in one of them.
I Am Sam is about a man named Sam Dawson who was born with a problem with metal retardation and finds himself single and raising his 6 year-old daughter Lucy with the help of his 3 friends (don't remember their names). As Lucy turns 7 the fight and bond between mentally challenged father and daughter begins. Sam shows he can't take much care of Lucy but pushes himself to take care of both of them. A social worker wants to place his daughter in foster care for her safety and for his but Sam refuses and fights for the custody of his own child. When Sam figures out he doesn't have the parent necessities and can't have Lucy with him and he breaks down and begs to get Lucy back. When Rita the social worker helps him get Lucy back he is to do what ever it takes to get his own child back with him.... watch the movie
Simon Burch is about a young boy who was born with dwarfism (or another deformity or disease) and grows up to only having one true best friend Joe who was always there for Simon and his mother as well who is a widow. Simon thinks that god has a purpose for why Simon is there and he's determined to find out what. During a soft ball game Simon strikes a foul ball and accidentally kills Joe's mother. Simon who is desperately sorry but Joe stays friends with Simon showing a true friendship. Winter comes and Simon gets gravely sick with a flue and was planning to go on a field trip with Joe but canceled due to his sickness he stays home behind letting Joe go without him. Simon decides he wants to go see Joe and his friends and is offered a ride to the camp site by Joe's step father (not sure of the name) and just as a deer jumps in front of the bus that Joe and the class mates are in.. the bus swerves off road and into a frozen lake. Joe's step dad and Simon run down the hill to rescue the kids Simon risks his life and swims towards the sinking bus to calm down the frightened children and sends Joe bringing the kids back to shore with the teacher and Joe's step dad. The next day Simon find himself in the hospital from the cold and his sickness..... watch the movie
