I'm quite new here, and just want to know how I can do that. If question is against the rules, please tell me. As I said before, I'm quite new here and I'm still learning.

Okay, first, grab any program that lets you use layers. You're going to need them if you're starting off.
Create a layer and draw the outlines of the character in them.
Color in the spaces with the desired color.
Rinse and repeat.

It sounds easy, but it's not... you're gonna need a whole jar of patience for this.

Ok, thanks, I'll try that.

One more question: Where can I get a good sized screengrab? I find a nice pic, right click on it, choose "Save Image As...". Then I save it, go to MS Paint, then insert the image. But it comes out really small! How can I make it bigger (or find bigger ones)?

Upload it in your art gallery and link it here or attach it to the post (there should be some tutorials lying around for this)

Also, to get screengrabs - your best bet would be to attain Balto onto your computer (one good way = rip the dvd with Magic DVD Ripper), open it up in Windows Movie Maker, split the movie up into 3-5 minute sections (otherwise navigating through the whole thing = hell) and take a screenshot. What this does is allows you to save the current frame displayed to wherever you wish.

This is the best way since you get ALL of the movie to work with, however! If you can't get it onto your compy somehow, there are several sites to help. There's the main BaltoSource site, baltosworld.de and theicecave.org (I hope that's right, if not, just Google "The Ice Cave").

I don't have Magic DVD Ripper. I'll try The Ice Cave.

I apologize for taking so long to reply.

I have created the topic, and you can find the guide (with visuals) by Clicking HERE. I hope it helps, and good luck! :]
