Wow..... O__o If you are interested in this clicky the links: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... blaze.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90UrkgiT ... re=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90UrkgiT ... re=relatedInfo ---------- The massive fire has destroyed as many as three blocks of movie set facades representing streets in New York and New England, while one genuine building has also fallen victim to the inferno, with smoke towering thousands of feet in to the air. The fire has been contained, but is still raging, Los Angeles County fire Inspector Daryl Jacobs said. "The facades are constructed of heavy timber and they tend to burn quite freely," he said. A spokesman for the LA Fire Department, Captain Frank Reynoso (from the fire department), told reporters that the fire was discovered just before dawn on Sunday, in the sound stage of a movie lot. It is possible that filming was going on at the time. So far there are no reports of injuries. Capt Reynoso said that there has been at least one explosion. Fire-fighting helicopters have been called in to drop water on the fire, which has up to now been contained within the back lot. The lot is close to dry brush, and firefighters are working to prevent the flames spreading and causing a brushfire. -------- Well since The Balto movies were animated by them i though i should post this. I think thats one huge fire. O__o scary.

The first time I heard about this I said "haha".
Nothing's really affected, a lot of old sets burned down, that's all. The town hall-like building from Back to the Future and To Kill A Mockingbird, the King Kong attraction etc
The only current production affected is Ghost Whisperer, I think some of their sets were burnt too.

May i ask, what is the big deal. All of the video's, are on file (Using computer space). Or in storage, or evan in other places. So it's just a construction problem.

The exact origin of the fire was an acetylene cutting torch. Where did you hear about a gas leak? DO'H. Wrong story, sorry, there was another fire on the news around the same time where some expensive buildings of some sort were ablaze - that one must have been the gas leak... BUT - I do think there was an explosion with this one... the news said it and *shudder* Entertainment Tonight, although I wouldn't trust the latter source.
