People should learn to laugh at themselves. Even people with ADHD.

Well, depends if it's good-natured humour or if whoever's making the comment actually has intentions in hurting the person's feelings... But like I just said, if it's good-natured humour, they just need to chill and learn to laugh at themselves like Cat said.

I see both points.
Many members of the site take words exchanged here seriously in the utmost.
In any case, it is in my opinion that it is wrong to tease/make fun of someone with a disorder they have no power over. By the same token, those who use the disorders (Aspergers, ADHD, ADD, OCD, Bi-Polar) as an excuse have no justification to do so. Especially if they do not have said disorder.
As Emily said: People lie. But By the same token, there are those who are completely honest - and those who are completely honest are the ones getting hurt.
On the internet, you must be careful of what you say. Those of us who are adults and moderators must be doubly so, do to our age and relative power. We are role models to everyone else, and saying something insulting to someone could actually cause someone to actually commit suicide. Case in point - the girl on Myspace who committed suicide after being insulted.
Generally speaking, put-downs period should be avoided. They cause more trouble than what they are worth.
As with all cases of rule-breakage, do not hesitate to notify a mod. We cannot be everywhere at once, as often as we try to be, and thus we do not see everything that happens.

I have one such condition mentioned. Is it an excuse to act that way? Unless it's a severe case, not really IMO. Yeah, there's some parts we can't help, but personally I suck it up |D I don't mind, as long as it's not like intentionally offensive.
