I don't think so, linearts are a trend really, people started doing their own after Draco put her "color me fun" topic up first time.
If we make a seperate forum people will make them for the sake of it and after a while it'll be forgotten about. Not to mention that we have tons of forum sections already, though I'm not exactly a fan of the deletion of the contests secion on the forums, a lineart section sounds like a waste of space on the board to be honest.

I don't think the contest section will be removed... As UK said, It would take up much needed space. There is a place for lineart.

But, yes as UK said, the lineart making is pretty much a phase. People saw Draco make her topic and they kinda started pouring out from everywhere. I think that if it turns out that the Contest section gets deleted, great. It'll leave space for other better, more original ideas people may have in the future.

A lot of people draw lineart, so I think it would be great to have a lineart section^^ keep in mind it would be another thing for artists that would contribute their lineart to worry about. all sorts of lowlifes like to contort things and claim them as thier own. not saying you would do that but....

WArrior has a point there are peope out there whou would do that and if they just figure out how to get rid of the copyright soighn they could say that they made the picture i have done a drawing for a friend of mine and he put it in one of these art things i forgot what it is called but said he drew it. Plus not all copyrights keep peole away i mean if you think about it when using gimp/Photoshop you can erase a Sigture or somthing written by the real artist. I know my older brother showed me that in an e-mail.

I know my older brother showed me that in an e-mail. thats exactly what i'm talking about you can never be too safe when you display your work for the whole world to see. with editing programslike photoshop, art thieves can simply erase your copywrite and even place thier own.

If sifting through sections is too annoying an entire forum section would be a nightmare to go through with new topics all the time, you'd have to go through pages soon enough and there's no preview thing on the forums, you'd have to click on every single topic on every single page to find a lineart you wanted to use. Draco's lineart topic is much easier as she links every lineart on the first page under the name of the person who made it. Said topic is here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14136

Okay, so I was wrong. I never herd word of it. Anyway, we can go without a replacement topic.
