What would you guys have in mind for a new balto movie? I have a ton of ideads but to make it more interesting. let's say universal studios gave you 5 million dollars to make a new balto movie what would you do?

Yea dude 5 million is hardly anything. my bad lets make it 20 million instead.

The sequels had 4 million dollars of budget. It's still a big amount, but not much for an animated film, true. 20 millions is not a realistic amount for a new sequel though.
I don't know exactly how many millions the first Balto costed, but I doubt it was more than 20 millions. I would expect something between 10 and 20.

Anyway, if I had to make a new film, I would take the time to read all the fanfics on the site and get the best ideas among them...I would also go through all the opinions posted by the fans to know what they truly like. I just can't understand why the companies (especially Universal) never do this...

im not really sure what I would do... and im not too good with making up ideas...

As stated before, I'd increase the the budget, make it for an older audience, have an uber composer for the score music( James Horner was good) and maybe make it a 3D animation. Of course there would be good voice actors, and maybe some off story of Balto's puppyhood; like a memory/flashback.

first I would make it more "feeling-y" more emotion, drama, action, horror, all of those combined! An beautiful music score, make the trio have some-what have a bigger role, tell the background story of balto, make boris kill stella, and have Iron Maiden's vocalist Bruce dickenson have a cameo in it.

I'd make it about what happened to Steele afterwards, and who Balto's parents are (I don't believe in the Aniu theory). And I'd get an editor that's not blind and deaf. And I'd hire someone who is a GOOD voice actor, who SOUNDS like the original Balto.

I'd get The Silver Phoenix to write the movie, when it comes to writing his has the best emotinal content (in my opinion), which I think would translate well to script. If the budget was high I'd just go crazy with the advertising and would hire many decent animators and artists, not only for their skill but mainly for their intrest in the work or even love of Balto (or wolves.)

I'd make it postitive to the animaters to make the animation on par with Balto 1. I might use another of Balto's pups for the film but I could have it further Kodi's character. I'd make up an explaination to remove Stella, like it didn't work between her and Boris. I might go the other way and make a prequal. Also, I'd put Jenna back as a heroine instead of a secondary character, she deserves a bigger role and she wouldn't stay behind this time, that didn't fit her character in the first film, plus she's probably sick and tired of Balto nearly dieing everytime he goes without her, its true!

I think a good plot would be like Steele coming back to try and kill Balto, and perhaps Jenna should actually be in[i] it?! She had pretty much no par in 2 or 3. Shame.[/i]

I agree, Flurrin. I'd make a history about Balto's parent's, though. I would loooooooooove it if that movie was made!
