I have always wondered....have any of you ever looked at Tramp then Balto? They look ALOT alike I wonder if either Disney copied Baltos design...or Balto copied Disneys design, wich ever came first.

Nah!
Lady and the tramp was made in 1955. So how can Disney steal the design ?
The plot seems "alike" Both dogs are outcasts. Becomes heroes & get the girl in the end..

Hmm...that sounds a little suspicious to me..but no LATT 2 is more like Scruffy then Balto II.

Aleu Balto Jenna wrote: I slightly disagree, because Tramp has ears that are bent and Balto's ears stand straight up.
Well Balto and Tramp are different breeds.

I think that Balto's design was probably inspired by Tramp. I mean, at the time that Balto was made, Lady & the tramp was already a classic and there are all chances that the Balto drawers did see the film. So I think they may have used the same style in drawing an outcast dog, yes.
Although they still look different.
