I made this video on youtube. It is called stop the slaughter end the abuse. It might be kind of sad, but many people kill horses for no reason. If you don't belaive me go to these links and see for yourself.

Isn't it sad? And people do thses things to them for two reasons:

1. for money or 2. because they feel like killing them for no apparent reason


What do you think? Do you think this is right?

Save the horses! When I get older I'm going to rescue horses from these places, train them, and put them up for adoption. I'm also going to keep some of the rescued horses myself. lol

Kill horses for no apparent reason? Not likely. People kill horses for many reasons. For food (mostly dog chow), because they're in pain, because they can't be rehomed, (if they're wild) to keep the population down... the list goes on.

"Because they feel like killing them for no apparent reason" is not one of them.

While I definitely have problems with people abusing horses, abusing and slaughtering are very different, and should not be bundled up together, as they so often are.

slaughter is certainly bad... but i doubt the people don't have no reason to kill them.. sure some people will kill them for no reason but slaughter houses do them for reasons.. thats like saying they have chicken, cow and other animal slaughter houses for no reason ?? ye well no.. and posting pictures of dead horses being killed and slaughtered isn't the right place i know you want to prove your point but this is a kid friendly sight and some people and kids do have weak stomaches and don't like these kinds of gory things..

but all .. i mean ALL slaughter houses have a reason to kill the animals they were meant to kill .. and of course they get money for it.. it's a job... not the best job but hey the person will get money anyways. Some people will kill animals just for the sake of it.. and include some horses are over populated.. i gotta say though one thing cats are almost more populated than any domestic animal.. many reasons !.. but that is my opinion on Horse Slaughter

I don't mind if it's an old horse, because they are destined to die any day and it's so much easier than killing them in their prime. But the way they do it is WRONG! What happened to the little needle vets carry?

I agree with Owned. Horses are slaughtered or killed for a reason. They aren't killed for the sake of killing, they're killed for food, sometimes their skin or they're suffering.

I'm not sure but...I don't think they use horses for glue any more. Or at least hardly ever.

What I think is cruel is the conditions not only horses, but cattle, are sometimes in before they are slaughtered. Some of these places are over-crowded and the animals are definitely not living a good or happy life. I think we should at least provide them with a rich and happy life if we're going to kill them, so it would be more fair to them.

Also, I disagree with cutting animals heads to kill them...We have the medical advances to use euthanasia which seems so much less inhumane and just wrong...

agree with OBAGR and Emily (hence my text).. they both are right and the glue i never knew they used glue which is quite shocking.. but the reason they cut the poor things head of is cause euthanasia the medicine cost quite a lot of money and for that amount of animals they'd be spending their money not really making it.. and for them cutting the head of its easier and free.. we all know it's wrong and disgusting and cruel but you're someone making money ..

ok, I wasn't thinking very clearly when I said for no apparent reason, but some people kill them for money, others maybe because they have stress. But here is the thing. Although they kill horses because they are in pain, that isn't what's called horse slaugter. That is humanly youthinizing. Although that is still killing, it is for good reason. Maybe they might kill some horses in the wild that are sick so they don't sicken the rest of the population, but what I am asking is if you think horse slaughter is cruel (killing horses for bad reason) not killing horses in general.

humanly youthinizing isn't really a word .. but someone killing a horse because of stress is animal murder and cruelty if that's what you meant to say and the person would probably go to prison for that because owning an animal to just simply kill it isn't likely the best idea and why would the person want the animal in the first place for stress if he knows he's gonna beat it or kill it but it's good if you're buying one to get rid of your stress most animals are able to touch the heart of others (and going off topic)... and how would the person know the horse is sick and like say " oh hey look that horse looks sick lets kill it before it kills the others " .. thats not our job it's the wilds job thats why wolves and other predators live so they kill the sick, old , or injured for food but many reasons as well .

I am sorry that I cannot put this in many words. I'm not a great "informing" person, but I know what you mean, and I'm sorry if you get mixed up reading my posts here. Sometimes I don't think and type somethings that are confusing! lol.
