Don't you think something was missing? Aleu howls.... the wolves howl... even the mouse howls... but Balto says "goodbye daughter" in a whisper. I just felt that he should have howled, showed that once also didn't know who he was... and then said""goodbye daughter". Don't you think so? maybe the "goodbye daughter" whispering was touching- but I felt like there was a whole lot missing. Don't you think so?

Well it would sound strange, because he would howl and then say this sentence...So I think it was either the howl or the sentence.

Yes... but did he even really howl through the whole movie? He was pretending to be a dog through the whole of it... I think the "goodbye daughter" thing at the end was nice and touching, but something was seriously missing.

Well, that's strange when you think of it.
Many people complain about the fact that in Wings of Change, the "wolf" part of Balto has been reduced.
However, does Balto howl in Wolf quest? No, not only once.
Does he howl in Wings of Change? Yes, at least three times...

Yes...he does at the start of the race, when he meets Jenna just before "you don't have to be a hero", and when he returns after saving Duke. And the other dogs all howled to him in the back street scene.

Pretty wierd how they jumble up the howling into the more non-spiritual places. For some reason, I think that wolfquest missed some expression, there were gaps.

Oh yes! I remember now. Thanks GK!
I think may be they want to show that Alue is more wolf than Balto. So they let alue do all the howling and won't let Balto howl a bit. But in the WOC They let Balto howl to make sure that we won't forget that he's half wolf.
