If Balto wasn't there

If Balto never existed in that town, do you think someone/something else could've retrieved the medicine?

I think Steele had a chance to make it back, however slim.

I think that without Balto many kids would have died because steele was totally lost and had given up. I mean remember when balto first got there? All the dogs where covered in snow doing nothing for who knows how long. Besides, I CAN"T IMAGINE NOME WITHOUT BALTO!!!! :cry:

I'm not saying this because I like Balto but in the film if he wasn't there, then Steele wouldn't have made it back. But who knows maybe Steele wouldn't have got so crazed about getting back if it weren't for Balto. For all we know although Steele would be the same dog he might have acted a little more clear headed when he got loast early on and would have waited till the storm died down before heading back to Nome but then again meaybe not. But without the film Balto it is highly unlikely the Sled Team would have made it back in time

I don't. Steele is just to self-centered. He wouldn't care about the children. He jsut cared about getting through so he could impress the others. he wouldn't make it back in time. Balto on the other hand actually cared about the children and about Rosy, so he made it through. It has mostly to do with heart for me.

If the musher didnt give Balto credit, the musher would be more famous than Balto i think.

Welll, in the movie I think that they would've gotten the medicine back eventually after the storm died down a bit, some of the kids would've died but some would still be saved.

But in real life, it's pretty much exactly what JC said. There's no arguing with the Captain XD
