When my dog was a puppy, her favorite toy wasn't a squeaky toy, a ball, a shoe, or something else to chew on, really, just something she liked carrying around.
It was the toilet brush!!! >_<;

LMAO.
Ah, my dog's first toy was... I dunno, actually. Flora and Gena, the girls, were both given a wide variety of chew bones, cuddlies and balls to play with when they were puppies. Teddy, we didn't get him when he was a pup, he was about 2 years old when we got him. I am about the same age as him, a little older, so naturally I don't remember much, but I'm pretty sure his toy was... here it comes...
A teddy bear.

Toilet brush toy. 8D Ahem. Boris (Budgie): Toy mirror which he promptly became obsessed with Possum (Cat): She's too cool for toys Daisy (Dog): During puppy school, there was a race to see if your dog could run the fastest towards you with the "come" command. Daisy came first and therefore earned herself one of those squeak-when-you-press-them clown toys. Although since then she has been able to tear through every toy (apart from her beloved collection of tennis balls) that isn't specifically designed for a dog to be unable to do so.

LOL!! I bet mine would've done the same if they got the chance! XD
My dog's though had..
Corfu (collie X) -- A small red rubber ring ^^ Balto (german shepherd) -- I think it was an old shoe...might have been a tennis ball though...
Both dogs are like many others and succeed in destroying most toys, the collie likes the rope pull-toys and the german shepherd just loves to play with anything really.

I think my cat's first toy was a fabric mouse with catnip inside of it. She liked that mouse XD Not sure where it went, though... she doesn't play anymore XD
