I suppose several members have watched the Kentucky Derby.
The Kentucky Derby is a very exciting race, but the fact that Eight Belles, the filly that finished in second place, collapsed and was euthanized almost immediately due to some sort of ankle injury.
The results:
1: Big Brown
2: Eight Belles (deceased)
3: Denis of Cork
4: Tale of Ekati
5: Recapturetheglory
6: Colonel John
7: Anak Nakal
8: Pyro
9: Cowboy Cal
10: Z Fortune
11: Smooth Air
12: Visionaire
13: Court Vision
14: Z Humor
15: Cool Coal Man
16: Bob Black Jack
17: Gayego
18: Big Truck
19: Adriano
20: Monba

Thanks for posting up the results. I was wondering who won because sadly, I missed the race. :[ And I feel bad for Eight Belles.

Me and my mom where watching that race. Poor Belles, she never missed a beat, was positivly beutiful, looked like she had great bloodlines, was full of spirit(you could tell by the way she walked and ran the race), and then she died. The poor thing.

not going to be mean but races like this (horse, dogs, w.e animals that do this?) is pretty cruel .. like i unno bout you but ye it's kl but i see these horses and some i can SEE THEIR RIBS! .. i'm just saying and i don't know what happens through training for these horses.. if someone doesn't mind explaining?.. like i know my uncle has one but i've only seen him but never seen him being trained

I like horse racing. I don't find it cruel at all. The Thoroughbreds enjoy running.. and they only fall and die by accident. And sure, maybe some of the horses are abused by their owners; but when I become a jockey(which i'm planning to) my horse will be spoiled. ^^

its a shame that Big Brown couldnt take the Belmont Stakes and win the Triple Crown. No i wonder whether or not i will ever be able to see a triple crown winner. Its not an easy feat to accomplish i know, but Big Brown put on quite a show this year, and i really had my hopes up this year. Its very unfortunate that soo much money was lost at the Belmont Stakes too.

As soon as i saw Da Tara walk out of the paddock with his jockey and trainer, i kinda had a gut feeling this wasn't going to be Big Brown's race. The way Da Tara presented himself while walking out of the paddock. MY GOD!! It looked like he was trained in saddleseat as well as racing! Truly a great horse though, Da Tara i mean.

i think its a real shame a beautiful horse died from an injury that simple. i love horses races, i went and saw some at haydock park near manchester, but when they fall my hopes are with them.

thanks for posting the results!
