I won't use my old XP anymore.

1. Every time I turned it on, it would try and force me to download a program that I didn't need before it would let me do anything else.

2. It wouldn't play even the simplest games, because the graphics card was VERY cheap and low-quality.

3. Not enough power to play any game other than Cards.

4. Slow internet connection.

Points 2 and 3 were the worst, because I'm a gamer.

That's an expensive PC XD What're the specs on it?

I paid around $470 for my computer a number of years ago, and I'm pleased with it. I've got a Radeon 9800 graphics card, and upgraded it from 512MB to 1gig in RAM. It's got everything I need, CD/DVD burner, integrated card reader, seven USB 2.0 slots. It's a refurbished unit ^^

That's about $1500USD dude (with the new 1.5 exchange) XD I'd never spend that on a computer, unless of course it could also do things like mow the lawn and fix my car...Congrats on that though, hopefully it'll give you many many years of reliable service.

Well I recently got my old laptop back, and I was terribly annoyed when it was a CLEAN INSTALL when I specifically asked for the old hard drive to be put back in >_____>.

There's an ancient laptop here which anyone would get sick of. It's that terrible.

But this one, the one I affectionally refer to as "The Cube" (the CPU is in the shape of a cube, how awesome is that, it isn't even that big)... I love it. Except from the fact that my cam is blurred with it, but I love it.

Mmm...I'm 99% sure this isn't a MATERIAL problem with your computer, but a SOFTWARE one. You should backup all your important data, reformat and reinstall Windows and everything, or just use the restoration disk if you have one. THEN, get a good antivirus (Avast, Antivir : they are free), a good antispyware (Spybot, Adaware...), a good firewall (the most important part : get ZoneAlarm for example), and make sure to update them, including Windows.
And if you don't know how to do all this, ask someone who can help you...


I still have my near-5-year old PC, but I plan on making a new one next year. I will probably spend something like this. (around 800€)
For now, this is the server where BS is hosted than needs the most upgrading...And according to Timduru it will cost something like the double of that.

I like my laptop alot, but the internet thingy sucks. And my computer is slow, and the keyboard sucks.. don't like that computer that much.

I like mine, its just a little slow somtimes but it does the job. I really need to get an external hard drive and back up all my junk.

my desktop computer is good, for now he hasn't problems...but my laptop MAN!!!
-he's really slow slow and slow!!!!
-he hasn't Internet
-to open a photo program he use 15 minutes and I'm not joking
-if I'm working on it, he makes another work like mine but with virus inside
-and finally to close himself is very fast and with the program he's slow!!
