Is it just me or do some members just post, "I agree.." with no explanation as to why they agree?

This just really...annoys me beyond belief. Why reply to a topic when all you can come up with is "I agree"?

Ok, sure. You agree, now tell me why..It doesn't take a genius to come up with a reason why you agree with something and it also doesn't take that long. Just try, for once, to freaken' take the time to ponder, "Why do I agree to this? Or am I just click-clacking away at my keyboard just to raise my post count?"

So, does anyone else agree with me? If you do, please explain why.

i really hate it when people do that i mean when you bring up a really good reson for somthing you should hope to get some really good answers not just i agree and thats true instead of posting that kind of stuff people need to back themselves up
with their opinions if i start a poll and get somthing like that i might just go off. The solution for this is to aske the person who typed whatever they typed why they agree and see if there just making things up to get there post rating up.

Ah, I also agree on this one. It has slowly been getting more and more annoying.

I have noticed quite a lot of people recently saying they miss the way BS used to be and in a fairly big way this is part of what's destroying it.

If you look at any old topic made in 2006 or early 2007 you will see every post made in that time frame has some substance to it, some depth but when brought back again recently the posts are awful. They are only one sentence long in many cases and sometimes not even that much. There is a HUGE difference in people's contributions to the site from old to new.

I'm also getting sick of seeing a good post being spammed by "I agree too, good rant" and then, obviously, the topics dies because no one added to it, that's the point of a forum! -.-

Yes, topics as well, sadly, are becoming shorter and alot less interesting to read...It's quite sad..I remember like maybe a year and bit ago it was so much more to post in topics. People would come up with responses to a topic with not only length but, they brought in interesting new information relevant to the topic..

People write “I agree” to raise their post count. Or in other topics, one or two word comments which, to me, seem rather pointless. If you are gonna state your opinion, back it up with proof so we can see why you think that. I’m not sure what this site was like a while ago but I do know now people don’t put very much effort into what they write. Like I and many others said, people are doing it to raise their post count. Why? I’m not sure… maybe they think it makes them look better?...

Replies consisting only of "I agree" are considered spam. Atleast they were a year ago and before that.



I've been hearing "I miss the way BS used to be" heavily for already two years frankly, and quite a lot has to do with the quality of posts.
I agree with you, although I'd say 2007 was a year of decline just like this one. Topics from 2004, 2005, 2006 and so on are brought up again (by different people and new posts of new topics), and when I compare their quality to what the posts of years before 2006 and including it were, usually they make no match at all.
I hardly find interest in posting in the movie-related sections of the forums. To be honest, I can't remember the last time that I did out of pure interest and to the very conclusion of the topic, not "daily commentary" or "moderatory" purposes. It's quite sad.

Yeah...It's stupid. People shouldn't care that much about their post count...Quality is better than quantity.
