This topic is for people who have rottys and don't. Well rotty's are black dogs with tan markings. In most movies they are mean. they are mean But only if they trained that way. They are a lovable and afftcionate creature. They love being with their owner and love to play with them. They also are great guard dogs at or not at prison.

I have two fully train K9 Until rottweilers, Rocky and lewis, Truely loyal and loveble they are. I will show a picture at the end of both of them. Yes Rottweiler do make great police and guard dogs, very protective of there territory and no they are not a mean dog they just to what is within them and ther nature, the dog itself is not mean. People look at a rottweiler and the first thing that will likely come to mind its "Dangerous dog", Wrong. Sadly because of the law now over here both my rottweilers have to be muzzled and they hate it, and alot of this is due to BSL. The only reason any dog would turn and attack would be is if you show sighs of threat to them or their familys and so on, no dog will turn for no reason.

Here is a picture of them
Rocky and Lewis

We did have 3 rottweilers but Sadly our only female has died due to cancer just over a year ago now.

I don't own one, but I think that when they have natural tails, they're stunning dogs. :D

i don't own one but my boyf's cousin does and breeds them with their tails ... yes they are wonderful dogs cuz i've known lots of them :) .. and where i work we have tons .. and it's great to work with them.. they're very smart too... but the reason their tails are docked is because what they were bred for in the past btw!!!.. they were bred to heard bulls and fight and normally these dogs would go for the tail so their tails would be docked to prevent bad things happening... and not every dog will attack just because a threat to a member of them or signs of threat.. thats only if you teach them .. cuz if this were true my labs and my border collie would be doing this XD lol and no they don't .. but dogs do have a mind of their own..

I suggest you don't bring the 'faults' into this topic x-x Or will end up like most rottie topics x-x

Anyways, I love rotties x3 My mom used to own a rottweiler named Fudge. o.o

If you show threat towards a Rottweiler or any dog they will attack in defence, A dog does not have to be trainned to attack it is completely within the nature to defend them self and what they would call their territory, just because your dogs have not shown it does not mean that the instinct is not there, I think I should know this by owning 2 K9 unit dogs and two members of my family working within that unit, so you just cant say that a sog would sit there and do nothing if it was being threaten by someone for something. Apart from that i agree with everything else you have said.

I don't have a rottie but I love them^^they're fantstic dogs!! but some people trasform them in fight dogs or aggresive dogs and I don't like this...a lot of TV notice say that a rottie attacked a kid, a baby or other people and they say that is the dog fault!!! but it's not true!!! anyway, rottie are adorable

I actually have a Rotty-mix. Her mother was half Rott and half German Shepherd; but she's a golden Rottwieler, with golden and white markings (the white "replacing" the brown).

I do agree - most animals [not just Rotties] are mean because their owner(s) made them that way. But not always - some dogs just have some slight attitude problems or shorter tempers. It can also be a result of being improperly socialized as a puppy, which is the same for all dogs.

But you actually can't tell that my dog has Rotty in her - she has very long fur, a curled tail, and is kinda short. But you can tell by her build - shorter legs, stalky chest, large head and short muzzle - that she has Rott in her.

Rotts, I have to say, are my favorite - and I'm looking forward to get another Rott-"looking" dog - the "traditional," however, with brown and black.

Here are some pictures of her:

Then that would be a slanted and unfair topic. A discussion involves ALL issues...not just the ones you happen to favor.

... Actually no, it'd be keeping flames away from this topic. I don't wish for this to end up like most of my topics where it ends in a big argument, and I have to request for it to get closed x-x
Now, I suggest we get back on topic :3

We ARE on topic, and that would only result in flames if those who are pro-breed got all hot under the collar and aggressive JUST because someone had a different opinion of the breed than them...like, saaaaaaaaay, you in that pit bull topic, hm?

... I'm starting to think that you track down my topics x-x
Anyways, Don't think I purposely argue with you x-x We just have different opinions which these days are seen as 'Flames' or such. I'd like to end this argument so others can continue this topic though.
