Ok so when I was six years old or so I loved this series and owned the 3 videos of the first series (I never saw the second series and still haven't.) Unfourtunatly the videos must have been thrown away some years later as I can't recall when I last watched em and I haven't had the vids for years. So pretty much well over a decade later it just randomly popped into my head again and after a few weeks I went on Youtube and started to watch all the first series again. It brought back some amazing memories and it was so great to relieve my childhood again by watching it that I've gone and ordered the first series off Amazon ^^

But I'm here because of the book, I actually didn't know there was an Animals of Farthing Woods book and that the series was made off of it but it makes sense now. The book was written a long time ago by Colin Dann and I'm thinking of going to Waterstones to look for the book soon. So I'm just asking has anyone read the book yet? Able to give opinions? I'm still going to buy the book but was just curious about what others thought of it. Also I don't actually know how popular The Animals of Farthing Wood was (or still is) so anyone who hasnt seen it I strongly suggest you watch it and to those who have will know why the book will be such a great thing to get as well :)

I have read the book ages ago. I can't remember it much but I do remember enjoying it. I didn't know there was a video series though. I vaguely remember (if I'm not thinking of something else 'cause I've read many animal stories, like Wind in the Willows etc.) the animals had to leave their home 'cause humans were chopping down the forest (I think). I do, however, recommend it, especially if you are an Animals of Farthing Wood fan.

Hehe cheers for the opinion, I'm planning on getting it when I can be arsed to leave the house ;)
Yeah I was an old AoFW fan but forgot about it for a long time, so know that I've found it again I'm back to being a steadfast fan so I'm looking foward to reading the book, which came out before the animated series :D
