I don't know, really. It shouldn't really matter of the gender of the person you're talking to on the site. I mean, sometimes it can be more of a nuisance, as males on the site have been and are 'pounced' by girls who are actively seeking 'm8s' - only because someone lists himself as male. And for that regard, I think that the guys (and girls) who get these requests still, even after the implementation of the 'm8' ban should let the moderators know so the person making the request will be banned.

Well as you can see, I do get annoyed with people that sign upon BS that doesn't care about, putting what kind of gender they are in their profile (not like I really care), but it would be nice to know if they are male or female right?Isn't it one of the requirements of filling out the form?Too me, I find it rather annoying if Im talking to a girl or not. Don't you think it's annoying? Please post your comments here. Please don't flame me, I took some time in this rant.

If people wish to not disclose their gender, that's their decision and it should be respected. And I'd like to also point out a slight flaw in your wording, as I feel it is important to do so. Stating gender is not a "requirement", rather, and option to do so. Indeed, it is sometimes difficult talking to someone and not know whether they are male or female, but maybe you could ask them in private or something.

I think if they decide to take it off-site, it should just be left alone. That's all I'm going to say on this matter, as mate talk was not brought up within this rant, I believe the controversy surrounding the issue should not be discussed here.

I don't really think its necessary to state whether you are male or female, it is an optional choice. Sure, it would make things easier to know if you are talking to a male or a female, however, if someone does not want tell you their gender (or anything else about them) you should respect their decision.

Blue, I'm not saying that you in particular are seeking a mate, I mean in general that's exactly what has happened in the past and likely still happens, which is still stupid and still not allowed.
