I love the song Morning Report,and seeing Zazu get caught by Simba,then tossed through the air.

I quite liked it actually, the animation through it matched the rest of the movie, the song was playful enough to fit the scene well and Simba's voice was actually pretty darn good considering how hard it would've been for them to find someone with the right voice age-wise and matching the original tone of the previous voice-actors voice, I think they deserve a pat on the back for doing it so well!

On the DVD you can choose which version you want to watch anyway so it didn't bother me and I liked the improved graphics rather than the VHS one which I also have of TLK 1 & 2.

I didn't really care for it. There needed to be a little song there though. Happiness..before Mufassa died.. Moving on, I thought that song wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good. You can tell the artwork had changed all of a sudden, and then went back to normal when the song was through. That was poorly done..
Otherwise, I thought the Song was fine. It was sort of catchy.

I personally liked it, and the new singing young Simba didn't do too poorly. I mean, yeah, I prefer Jason Weaver's voice and Jonathan Taylor Thomas's - but if you haven't noticed, neither one of these men have the same voice as they did in the early 90's. Both of them are in their mid to late 20s, and biologically, neither one of them can sound like a kid because their voices have since changed.

And besides, if you don't like it, there's an option on the DVD menu to play the theatrical release, which of course lacks the new sequence.

I didn't like it. The song was incredibly off-key and unnecessary. Simba's voice was alright, but it doesn't hold up to the rest of his singing. For me, it ruined a touching and funny little scene.

OF COURSE I liked Morning Report! Duh! It's a New Scene, making a Special Extended Edition for The Lion King. Just like it says on the front of the DVD slipcase: "One of the greatest movies ever made just got better!", but then again, it's not really complete without the other two films.

to be honest, i'm neutral about the morning report. i liked the version that was in the film, but the recording of it for cd sucked. it;s the only song from the series that isn't on my archos (apart from upendi)

Since I didn't remember watching The Lion King as a little kid, when I bought the DVD(i was about 8 at the time) I was under the impression that the song had been in the movie all along. I finally figured it out when I watched the original. I loved the song and if anything I think it made the scene a little better.
