Anyone else looking forward to this game? I know I am. For once, we actually can be a Sith in a Star Wars game! (Well, besides battlefront. Those two games don't count.) Here is some info on the game if you have not heard of it. The info below is straight from the official website. Go there for more info.

Official Site and Trailer: http://www.theforceunleashed.com

Release Date: April 2008.

Rating: RP.

Platforms: Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox 360.

Plot Summary: The next chapter in the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed tells the story of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice, a mysterious figure who has been trained by the menacing Sith Lord to hunt down the last of the Jedi.
Set in the dark times between Episode III and IV, the story is both a continuation of the prequel trilogy- exploring the aftermath of Order 66 and focusing on the continued evolution of Darth Vader- and a direct bridge to the Classic Trilogy. The Force Unleashed will forever change the Star Wars galaxy and lead directly to the events in Star Wars: A New Hope. Developed under the direction of George Lucas, the storyline for the Force Unleashed remains a closely-guarded secret. However, it has been revealed that the Secret Apprentice's journey takes him across the galaxy from the Wookie home world of Kashyyyk to the junkyard planet Raxus Prime, and the mushroom covered Felucia. He will be aided in his dangerous missions by a loyal sidekick, PROXY- a prototype holodroid with amazing abilities- and a beautiful Imperial pilot named Juno Eclips. The Apprentice will clash with powerful Force wielders, including the spirited Zabrak warrior Maris Brood, and General Rahm Kota, a hard boiled Jedi soldier who senses that the Apprentice is destined to become far greater than just Darth Vader's servant.

New Features:

Euphoria and Digital Molecular Matter. (http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed/#/game_info/tech_info/),

During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice.

Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice's four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse, and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.

Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible:

The Secret Apprentice won't just Force push enemies into walls - he'll Force push enemies through walls.

The Secret Apprentice won't just Force grip foes to throw them aside - he'll Force grip them in midair, zap them with lightning, then drop them to the ground to explode like a bomb.

In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader.

Visit locations such as Episode III's Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk, and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility.

The Force Unleashed is LucasArts' first internally developed title for next-generation consoles, and it represents the first in-game collaboration of talents and technology between LucasArts and Industrial Light & Magic, two companies now finally under one roof at the new Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco's Presidio district.

The Force Unleashed debuts Digital Molecular Matter from Pixelux and euphoria behavioral simulation from NaturalMotion Ltd.

LucasArts is preparing an unprecedented promotional effort around the launch of The Force Unleashed, encompassing a full line of toys and game-based action figures from Hasbro, as well as a full publishing program from Dark Horse, Del Rey and Palace Press.

A friend of mine managed to get the game like four days early so I got the chance to play it early too. Though I was more interested in the Wii version, I played the 360 version that he got and I have to say it's really neat. Just in the visual feedback alone, it's great. I did have some problems with aiming in the specific direction and the camera was no help but whatever, it's fun and in the end that's all that matters.

Overall though I have to say that I was disappointed with the game. Like I said, it is fun but to me it seem like the game doesn't meet with a lot of things LucasArts had said in the years leading up to the game. With the quality of the game in it's finished state it's simply a game that was over hyped by the public and by the developer to the extent.
Nevertheless, a fun over hyped game.

I got the ps2 version Saturday, and I must say it's even better than I expected. I hopefully will be getting a ps3 soon, and I will rebuy the game when I do. I've beat it twice, and I'm going to start on the alternate ending tonight. I think the tag line fits: "May The Force Blow Your Mind." If you're a Star Wars fan, get the game. If your not, then at least rent it. I believe it's worth it.
