:?: Am I the only one out there who sees untapped but grand potential in the character of Jenna? Surely not, there's got to be some other smart writers out there. In Balto they set up this great character. She's definatly a "Girly girl" (you know what I mean) but when Balto is in trouble she tries to take on a bear by herself. This showed a quality in her that we didn't know existed. So by the end of the movie she was kind of a puzzling character, you know? I mean if she could take on a bear, why not steele? or anyone else for that matter. She kind of had this little hidden warrior (alomost wolf like...hmmm) spirit in her. Then Universal gives her enough screen time in Balto II: Wolf Quest to have the pups. What gives? Am I the only one out there who gets this? If you understand what I'm talking about, I wrote a story starring Jenna (mainly) called Balto Jenna's Journey. It's posted on this website. If you'd like read it and E-mail me what you think, and let me know what you think of what I've said here too. I'm definatly interested in peoples opinions. My email is [email protected]
:D

I think you're right, and I believe most Balto fans thinks the same. They completely changed Jenna's character in Wolf Quest, as well as badly drawing her. It's a bit better in WoC, and at least she gets more screen time.
And when you said that she could take on Steele, well don't forget the scene in the boiler room...

I was disapointed with how they changed her in WQ. She had so much spirit and personality in the first and in the second she doesn't really even have a personality.

You are right about Jenna kinda losing her character in the WQ movie but sorta got it back in WOC but still wasn't adzactly the same again. Jenna did have a Girly expression in the starting of the first movie but then showed her true brave self more into the middle of the movie. I think Jenna turned out as a pretty sweet female character and that's really was the movie needed, that's what everyone movie needs. But, she did loose her warrior self in the WQ because they didn't give her enough time to prove herself. That's one thing that did disappoint me in WQ but still in Wings of Change they sorta brought her back to normal but I do know what your poll meant and it did bug me awhile too...

I'm sure she'll be there. Steet probably knows but he probably doesn't want to tell about it until we in the N.A *north america* get to see it.

I think I already said a few times that Jenna was in it, and that she gets more screen time than in WQ... I even said this in this topic, so...

IMO, if Universal decides to make (God forbid) another Balto movie, I would think that if they focused it on Jenna, it would be pretty interesting. I mean, if someone writes the right story for her that is.

I liked the original Jenna better, mainly for her personality. She is a likeable character with many layers in her personality (the "kick-butt" one, the "sultry-side", the "young-lover", etc.) and WQ just destroyed all of those and added the "nurturing-mother" to Jenna's resume. I think some people would agree with me if Jenna disobeyed Boris' command of leaving Balto and Aleu on their own (then it would be a mix of Balto, Aleu and Jenna's adventure, instead of just Balto and Aleu). I think if you add a little Jenna into a story, it'll be more interesting! :D

But it is nice to know that in WoC, she's not such a minor character as she was in WQ! And she looks better too!

You know, I used to think the same way before seeing B3...but now, I just want more Balto! :P I would prefer that they would do something more original than just another sequel, but if they do, I'll be sure to waiting for it as I did for B3 :)

Are you hinting . . . . possible Balto series?!
Wow . . . . WoC must really be that good then, huh Steet?

That would be cool! Maybe not the best idea in the world, but it would give the writers a chance to explore minor characters, like Jenna, the other pups, and our ever so brave hero Balto, for a half hour of animated bliss . . . .
If only . . . . if only . . . . One can dream though! :D

It's more likely that they would do another DTV sequel, though; because I don't think they would earn so much money with a TV series...
The only thing I hope is that B3 will sell well, and maybe Universal will start to consider it better...

What I found especially interesting was that Jenna and (1 year) Aleu never were in the same shot together. at all. only when Aleu was a pup did they show up in the same screen.

ur right they should make a movie with her going on an adventure wit Balto! that would be cool cuz if u look at it they r a couple but when ever he goes some where he leaves her behind like how rude! :( they should at least let her go on one adventure instead of letting the pups get all the fun Jenna has as much rites and them to get to go on a adventure :D
