sorry bout the loss of your cat .. i had 2 dogs before and they both died from being ran over .. and had a cat named Gizmo and he ran away and just never came back although he was quite old (13 ish) guessing he left thinking it was his time and i hear some animals do that no idea why .. hope you get better after his loss.. it's quite tough but i'm sure you'll recover but never forget him..

For a girl kitten i like the name Hope or Faith ... and for a boy Courage is good like what Starsky said.. or Shadow (kind of short for Spooky's Shadow)

hehe ye well we adopted him so he was already named. .. he was gorgeous though.. but BIG!! and he was like a dog he fallowed me everywhere and he always wanted attention and came when called ...

Well, I'll probably think up a buttload of names later, but for now I have just one:

Catori, if it's a female. It means spirit (I think), so it's kind of like Spooky. Plus it has cat in it, lawl.

And I'm sorry about Spooky. Poor guy ;;

One of my dad's dogs Dexter, a little Jack Russel pup, disappeared. He'd wag his short tail and lick your hand, and when he walked, it was like he was on a treadmill, his little legs moving as fast as can be, but he wasn't going anywhere. I guess we've all lost our share of animal friends.
Your cat seems to be the kind of cat that my cat-hating mother wouldn't hate as much. At least he won't suffer anymore, but it'd be painful with him gone.
Why don't you name the new kitten Terrin, it can be a male or female name, and it sounds feline.

If its a boy: Ramble, Scar, Simba

So sad :[ He looks like a nice kitty. Gratefully, though, he's in a happier place.

Male: Binx (Hocus Pocus name, LOL)
Rusty (depending on pelt color)
Sam (also can be a girl name)

Girl: Sammy (like Sam, can be a boy's name)
Lilly
Millie (Rhymes with Lilly! 8D)
