I'm wondering, how many of you here play Call of Duty 4 on Xbox Live? It might be fun for the ones who have to to get together and play. (Note: The game is rated "M", so please no discussing it. Just post your gamertag.)

My gamertag is: TuroknRoll

I do play CoD4, but surprisingly I find myself playing Veteran on Campaign more than on XBOX Live. (I guess I really couldn't explain why) Occasionally, I will get online, but usually my Team Deathmatches end up with clans that take CoD4 a little too seriously.

I actually don't own the game but I've played at my friend's house several times and I can honestly say it's one of the best shooters on the next generation market. That being said I wasn't completely satisfied with the game, sure it's a great party game and online play offers limitless fun but I still feel something is missing from the experiance. However, I recommend to anyone looking for a fun (yet generic and often overrated) shooter. I'll get around to purchasing it someday,

But the announcement of Call of Duty 5 was just a little too much. How long are they willing to drag on this series, even if the settings are changed?

Activision has a habit of milking all the fun out of the Call of Duty series just for additional profits, but can you really blame? They already have a highly successful and profitable franchise so they might as well milk all the cash out of the loyal fans as possible. Wouldn't you do the same in their shoes?

First time I ever played Call of Duty I was blown away (Whats this? A WW2 game where you actually fight WITH your squad?!?!?) The fact that you always had your AI buddies backing you up throughout nearly all the game was great!

I feel like CoD4 did huge justice to the series, there are so many points in the game where you literally go "wow, no way." The only scene that vaguely resembles the first CoD in CoD4 is the last scene with the truck... but thats it. I even thought the reason why they had it was because it was paying a little homage to the first CoD game :) As for it being a futuristic version of CoD? Well yeah... of course its futuristc mate, CoD was set in WW2, this is set around late 90's to early 2000 so of course its gunna seem more futuristic. Anyway apart from the last sequence I could find very little similarities in the game to the first one. The story and plot was highly enriching, the characters likeable and great and the combat and vast array of situations and combat roles you take on is hugely varied . Thats why I think it's such a good and refreshing fps game, and mate you shouldn't get to down just because some kids haven't played the first CoD, all that means is that they missed out big time ;)
