Someone suggested me that, and it's pretty interesting...
Maybe I should remove the display of the number of messages posted on the forums. This way, people wouldn't be tempted to make useless posts, only to make their number of posts growing.
I must say that I'm for this idea myself, although if many people think I shouldn't do that, I won't do.
Although, as it means changing the forums code, it will probably only affects the number of messages displayed on the topics (under your avatar).

So, what's your opinion?

Yeah I guess that'd be a good idea. That might cut down on it and the bragging about how many posts they have.

I think it will be a good change no numbers for count hunters means smarter posts and removes the certain inequality between members.

i agree. It can probably make a huge difference. HardOCP forums does that. in order to see the amount of posts you have to go into an user's profile. It works well there, though doesn't stop poeple from doing the "empty" posts.

I agree too, at least it could cut down useless posting and lead people to make smarter posts.

for some peole at least no matter what we do though, it will not stop those with the ability inbred in them to post stupid stuff!! LOL

I have no clue what to side for.

I like to keep track of what I do and how many times I do it.
Not just on Balto Source but in real life as well.

I like the idea of reducing the number of "empty" or "useless" posts.
It would help the "den" (forums/site) by keeping it organized and having more memory free.

As much as I like to keep track of how many posts I have, I will give that up to reduce the number of "empty" and "useless" posts.

I voted no. I like being able to see your how many posts you have. I make a goal every month on exactly how many posts I want to get to each month, this month my goal is to get to 400. And not only that, I have to admit, I do like showing off...

Although I admit that 'useless posting' is common, I'd have to side with Dark Mountain.
For some people, such as myself, it is a goal to be five stars. I say no. Keep the number of posts.

I've put maybe. I think that this information show how people are active on the forum. But if you remove it, we'll you keep the small nickname like "lead dog" or "young pup"?
If you keep that, then I'll approve this project.

My opinion: you could remove that from the post view page, but i think is good keep it at memebers page just for we have the possibility to see that info.

I don't see the harm in it, so I'm all for it.
