This is for all the weird things that happen to people. You can post any story here, as long as it fits with the rules and is about you or someone you know (facts must be straight, this is NOT a gossip column). Think of it as Ripley's Believe It or Not crossed with America's Funniest Home Videos.
Here are the rules:
* Keep it clean.
* Be accurate.
* No specific names. If you must use names, use false ones.
* Don't post a story the person would object to you spreading (for that reason I'll wait to post mine until I can ask the, er, perpetrator for permission). If there is ANY doubt, ask first.
* Have fun!

NEW RULE: If you've got a ghost story, there's enough of them here so please don't post those. But if you have a recurring problem with things that go bump in the night, PM me and I'll tell ou exactly how to put an end to it for good. Tried and tested, I guarantee it.

i have one it was a few years back but im sure exactly when somwhere before i became a Tedhead(teddy geiger fan) is all i can say which limts it to anything before 05 or 06. i was walking my dog with my mother when i spotted a coin on the pavement (i think it was a shiney new penny or i nickle) so i bend down to pick it up and some how winde up air bound for a few secounds. I flipped in the air and the only reason i know that i did this is because i saw both the pavement, the buildings and the sky as i was airborne. I landed in an akward possion with my dog's lesh still wrapped around my wrist (she's a beagle but she pulls and might bite a pitbull or two). I landed on my feet sasha's bum and mine were back to back knees bent and head turned to the way i was standing. It was funny and one of those things u where u had to be there to get the full effect of how funny it was but either way it was a strange event

My teacher told us about some of these boondoggles.
Least Accurately Labeled Museum Exhibit Ever:
It was a Roman Cessetarius coin minted between AD 135 and AD 138. It was very impressive until a 9-year-old pointed out it was really a plastic token given away by a soft drink company.

Most Boggled Bank Robber (I might be able to top this with some of my other sources):
In 1969 a Portland, Oregon bank robber wrote instructions on a piece of paper and held it up for the cashier to read. "This is a holdup and I've got a gun." The bemused bank clerk waited while the robber wrote another note, which read, "Put all the money in a paper bag." The teller wrote, "I don't have a paper bag." The robber fled.

1. i was reading a book that got so intense, i almost passed out when i lloked up from it and had to sing the "Jesus Loves Me" song to bring my pulse down!

2. i was (once again) reading a book in bed that got so intense my headbord started knocking against the wall because my heartbeat got so heavy.

3. i got this from a crminals dont have to be geniuses column in a magazine:once a criminal wrote a letter to the police saying "catch me if you can!" and they did, but it wasn't that hard; he had put the return adress on the envelope!

weird, huh? (dont worry, the books weren't scary, they just got a little intense.)

They don't lock the topic over simple non-use (at least I don't think they do). I brought up a topic way older than this recently, and no mod objected. As long as the posts are on the subject and appropriate, like your first one was, then it's fine.

Mind you, that's not the official rules (meaning I don't know for sure if that's how it works), but it's been my observation.

it was about an hour ago i was watching tv on my bed and my guitar is like way across the room and has a scarf wrapped tighly around the neck (i just didnt know where to put the scarf) all of a sudden my low E cord just vibrated and sung like someone came by and plucked it. it creeped me out

I've got a new one:

I was home alone one day, in the dining room. All of a sudden, my brother's ball drops from the counter in the kitchen to the hardwood floor. I thought maybe my dog did it, but when I looked up from the table, she was lying down next to our couch. I looked through the house but no one was there.

That's wieerd. Does that sort of thing happen often in your house?

No, but it might have been the walls vibrating or molecules bumping into each other or something. I don't know.

Hm. Well let me know if it starts becoming a regular thing. I've run across similar cases, and there's a solution I know of that hasn't failed yet.
