Contests held on the fourms again

Hello! To get to the point I think that having the contests held on the site is a waste and they should be hld back on the fourms so i am suggesting that they are moved back :mrgreen:

I am sure there is a legitiment reason why there on the site not the forms. but i still think/suggest that people post conests on de fourms :mrgreen:

In order to answer to this, I would need to know why you would prefer the contests to stay on the forums instead of the site. Because I don't see any reasons listed...

The main site is currently horrendously slow on my often slow connection, and the forums are not. It'd be better if they were kept here.

I prefer them on the forums to be honest. The site is nice for contests like "make a banner for such-and-such" or perhaps "create a opening picture for this fan fic" but what I thought would happen has...mate contests.

They really do irritate me to no end and it makes the contests page on the site looks messy.

Well these contests switched from the forums to the site, that's logical. Although, the difference is that on the site, I can manage it the way I want. For example I'll be able to make a filter for all these "characters" contests. I'm still trying to see how to make a more practical interface than the current one.

This is whats happening:
On the site-
People post a contest...no one replies.

But on the fourms people are still repling to old topics. I think that the site could be used for some thing better besides contests...leave the contests to the fourms (I really hope this all makes sense)

And why exactly isn't it appealing? I'll try to improve the interface, but I would need details on what you wish exactly. I know I must add something to show which projects (or fanart galleries, fanfics...) have new replies, but apart from this, I don't see what is less "appealing" on the site than on the forums.
