Short time after the parents where killed. Teal and her sister where found by some lynxes, and taken care of like lynx cubs. But the lynxes just took care of them until they stopped driking milk. After that they where alone. Sometimes they got feeded by ravens, but that was rare. They had to fight allmost every day to survive in the cold nature.
