The reason the bad guy never gets the girl is,because he ends up doing something that the girl doesn't like,and the hero winds up coming to rescue her.

It's boring, and has been done 204773820941575160+ times. If it manages to be interesting, sure, go for it. But if it's boring, nobody cares.

But yeah it's a great bore and the pairings ARE.NEVER.INTERESTING. That's what makes me upset. At least show some creativity when you pair up a character with someone else. A mean a good girl/bad guy pairing is cool (but NO they hardly show it :roll:

) Cuz, like Tulip said, the bad guy gets killed or shunned or whatever

I do that quite a bit. Where here is, in fact, a girl is on the bad guys side who ends up falling in love with him. But he's too busy chasing after something else to notice. I'd like that to happen in a movie. ^^ But it really depends on how bad the villain is or how corny the good guy is XD

Generally speaking, it's because the culture behind the film. It's wrong to be bad, and that's why the bad guy doesn't get the girl. But it's not how it works in every movie. A lot of times there is the everyone dies (300 and The Perfect Storm), the hero dies (The Matrix Revolutions and Troy), or the heroine dies (Van Helsing and The Matrix Revolutions). I'd like to see more of good guy gets the learned-her-lesson and has atoned bad girl and vice versa (like I like Batman/Bruce Wayne X Catwoman/Selina Kyle pairing myself) - because no one can be good all the time, it's just not human.
