If people are mis-informed about Balto,and Togo,then they simply need to be re-informed about them.

he.he. my icon's Togo... couldn't tell who i'd vote for...but spongebobluvah (sorry if that's spelt wrong) is right. what matters is that the medicine got through (like Jenna said in da 1st movie ^^) and saved many, many lives. true Togo ran more miles, and will always be remembered for that even though they didn't (but should've) made a character after him in the movie. but also true (if i read the book right) the real Balto was the only dog pulling on his harness to be lead-dog, because none of the other dogs could lead, and he knew the way. in the end i think that all the dogs should be remembered. after all, didn't the plaque on the balto memorial state: "Dedicated to the imbomnible spirits of the sled dogs...". that's SLED DOGS, as in more than one, so those who are concerned about the other dogs, do not fret, they are also remembered. and so ends the Roi's rant...is so spelled 'imbomnible' wrong...but i dont have the book w/ me or the movie in so what do you exspect...

You know, the media almost always blows everything out of proportion. Not to mention that when they get hyped on a story, often is the case where it is just flat wrong... Usually that sort of hype comes in American Presidential election years v.v - of course that's another case entirely.

Also, it would be nice if Universal rectified their mistake in regards to Balto and did a true story live-action film in the same sort of style as other dog-sledding films, but that's just a thought which will likely not happen. In any case, there is far too much information that is contrary to the truth - for example, if you check out Yahoo! answers, you will find questions like "what was Balto really?" and there will be responses of people who firmly believe that Balto was a wolf-dog and that he had puppies. As we know or should know, Balto was a full-blood dog.

So in other words, the argument stems from misinformation on the side of Balto, and vindictive anger on the part of Togo for the lack of recognition. And that we can blame on the over-eager press corps. XD

But we must remember what had passed and the truths of what had happened in Alaska all those years ago, for mixing fact with fiction dishonors the memories of all the heroes as well as those people in Nome who were lost to the disease.
