I have to admit, they are getting tedious now -.-

I suppose we didn't so much before because the Interview US topic had at least long, meaningful answers to it, rather than just one sentence and the first Ask Balto and such topics were mainly for fun and still had decent answers but now...in the original topics, the answers have nothing to them, probably because the authors of said topics have gotten bored by now and the new ones have no point to them what so ever. =/

I gotta agree JC, to the average observer it appears as an exercise in egomania. Earlier the 'interviews' likely had a purpose, but now, they serve none. Maybe if there was a weekly fan news thing like 'get to know a member' in which the fan news editors interviewed someone, it'd serve a point...

THANK you.
I was just looking through the Other section last night and it was already bothering me.

Where has our creativity gone?
What ever happened to just going up to someone and ASKING?

Yeeeeah...no offense to anyone, but I really don't care about your characters THAT much. LoL. First time is fun, Second's okay, Third is eh, and all the others are just kinda bleh. XD I suppose I wouldn't have so much of a problem with it if people simply didn't just post the simple and rhetoric sentence of, "Ask me anything."

But, you know, if that's how you want to advertise...

I feel a slight pang of guilt about this, because I think I may have inadvertantly sparked this fad.

A long time ago, I was brainstorming in an attempt to find out how to get other members more involved in my fanfics and such. So I came up with this idea of making a fake talk show in which I would "interview" any member who wanted to be involved. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of using the misleading title "Interview Me" for it. Soon the "Interview US" topic popped up in the Other forum. Now, I can't say for sure that the makers of that topic got any ideas from the name of my topic, but it does seem pretty unlikely that it was purely coincidence.

So yeah, I think I may have accidentally lit a spark that kicked off this whole fad. But wow, that seems like it was such a long time ago...

Whoa...I remember that...that was really ages ago! *remembers the Chinese wolf*.

If all these new topics are from your topic and the "Interview US" topic then the new authors of said topics really need to go back and read them again.
I liked your topic because it was mainly made up, i.e. not a proper interview about boring stuff but for fun.
Cat, Drew GK and Lakoswolf's "Interview US" didn't really annoy me either because the answers were (normally) more than one sentence and most of the new ones say "nothing personal"...Wtf? What's the point of an interview then??...I couldn't care less about why they chose their names or why they have such-and-such as their avatar.

The same goes for the "Interview character" topics, the first few were fine because they kept to the original charcaters and had sensible answers...new ones aren't.
