So, I've been practicing my detail. Yes, I need better background(s). But I'm usually too tired-out by that point I lose interest and quit caring. So, I want you all to critique. What do you think? What do you think I should improve on? should I improve them further? I've been studying GoldenWolf's artwork for help in fur direction (which she actually gives permission to do). And, obviously, it has helped me quite the lot. So; crits please! They will help me SO much!

the fur looks much more detailed but the lines in the fur are quite visible.. it needs to be more flowing with deeper colours to provide depth..it depends how realistic you want it to look though ,brilliant for starters though.im crap at fur becuase its a hard thing to acomplish heres what i mean by depth and that(art NOT drawn be me)

Actually, that's my point. You see, I'm lazy. So by adding the darkened lines, I take care of the light and dark in two rounds.
However, I have been studying various other artists (with extreme, realistic-fur techniques) in making it better. :]

you got the light and that perfect.. i can see what you mean though..youll have to spend hours of your free time to get fur THAT detailed have you tried using charcoal? iv heard thats good for fur.. but dont quote me on that cause i dont nknow and i dont know if you like charcoal anyway (i dont lol it gets everywhere and smudges like hell) what pencil crayons do you use?your colours blend well but im having trouble with mine

Usually I use Crayola Colored Pencils, a regular pencil, and RoseArt/LiquidColor pencils.
Normally, colored pencils. Lol. Every so often I'll use my compressed charcoal sticks/charcoal pencils -- but charcoal isn't the best for smudging (an easy blending technique) so I don't use them often.

*Added a new image, replacing the "Gargoyle Werewolf" one with a better Werewolf.
Entitled The Stalker, © Me.*

I guess I should have better explained my prospective then, yes? XD It's supposed to be a ragged, rocky ledge. The animal "stalking downward" to its victim (thus, the title of "The Stalker"); it's head is slightly tilted to ITS left and slightly turned, as well. I have yet to work on the foreground, but I'm practicing my rocks (how nice to have to re-learn how to draw a ROCK; but I don't want it to pull away from the picture in a nasty manner).
