How on earth would Aleu have less than 1/4 wolf?
Balto = Wolf x Husky Jenna = Husky x Husky
Besides, Boris meant she looked more like a wolf. He never actually said she had more wolf blood.

Umm no actually Starclaw, when it comes to genes it doesn't matter how small the characteristics are of one parent to be adopted into a child. In this case Balto is half wolf and half dog. Jenna is a purebred husky. In any circumstance whether the child is born to a parent of 1/6 wolf part or 3/4 wolf, it's still entirely possible for the child to adopt the DNA wolf part over the more dominant husky genes. This can be proved in eye colour, if your parents have blue eyes and you have brown eyes the case is usually due to the fact that your grandparents or even great- grandparents had brown eyes and the gene causing brown eyes merely became submissive and lay still encoded in your parents chromosomes and then merely became apparent in you. Therefore in the case of Balto who is half wolf and half dog and his mate Jenna who is a purebred husky it's entirely probably for at least one of their six children to inherit a more dominant wolf gene then husky. Think of it as a 1 out of 6 chance to become more wolf then husky (BTW it's been ages since I did biology but I think I'm kinda on the right line )

Aleu is mostly husky, we can see by her curly tail. She's more of a 'genetic throwback,' meaning that she more resembles an older ancestor than her parent. Also, I think she was more wolf 'spiritually.'

Wouldn't Aleu be only 1/4 wolf or something? Jenna is a pure-bred husky while Balto is half husky half wolf.

I don't like the fact that Alue had more wolf characteristics thsn Balto. Balto is supposed to be special being half wolf half husky. You can see that in the first movie. So even if Alue IS more wolf than Balto I wouldn't like it AT ALL! It isn't right to me. I think it is stealing the one special thing about Balto and the fact that he had to find out that he was special on his own.

I think I might have posted something about this in another similar topic, but I'll state it again: (just not in the exact same words, of course)
Throughout some of the scenes that Aleu was in, it was obvious that somehow she, despite having the same exact pedigree as her siblings of 75% husky (mainly thanks to Jenna's pure husky genes) and 25% wolf (thank you, Balto, you awesome little half-wolf, you), was more in tune with the recessive traits of her father and also her grandmother's wolf heritage.
Case in point: When Boris has mentioned the said quote ("Funny, but from where I stand, I see daughter who looks even more wolf than father." - this is what happens when you transcribe the entire film . . . you memorize it. LOL), I feel that he knew Aleu was meant for something other than being born part-wolf - she was meant to live amongst them. Besides, several times in the film, Boris spoke with a sense of understanding, as if he knew the situation of Balto keeping Aleu's heritage a secret and that he would have a difficult time letting her go once the wild called for her. (IMO: I believe Aniu herself was actually working through Boris during some of those scenes. Note the mist and fog during some of those times . . . he sounded like Boris, but I think it was someone else speaking through him to communicate with Balto (and the others that wanted to interfere with their journey).)
But I digress . . . .
I agree with Canis Lupus: Aleu wasn't more wolf than Balto genetically, but more wolf than him spiritually. This was quite evident throughout the entire film: her excited howling, her understanding of Balto's dreams and visions once she had them herself, her confrontation with Muru and all of the symbolism through his songs . . . Balto was more in tune with the husky side of his breeding all along, even during Wolf Quest; However, his wolf side only kicked in when he really needed it.
Despite the fact that I (and probably anyone else) could believe that Aleu actually seems to look more wild than Balto does, she really isn't much tame (except for her curled tail, which is easily noticeable several times in the movie). Yes, she was raised with the hopes of being loved by a human like her other siblings, but her destiny was chosen before she was even born apparently. (Remember the dreams?)
But anyway, that's my two cents on the subject. I apologize if I repeated anything.
