The only problem with that is people will not listen as they do now, and continue mates talks, as they do now.

The whole mates thing has pretty much been relegated to PMs at this point, which is about as far as it's possible for any regulation to go.

Yeah, when i talk to walto, we don't even talk mate like. it's really cool like that. but anyway, we have our conversations in pm's..and no matter what you do, people are going to have em'.

Says who? Anyways, i say if it's private, then it's ok. In the sb and in rp, yes..tis annoying as heck.. But in pm's where it is private, all is well

Yes, it can be a bit irritating. I find it most bothersome when I get PMs from girls I've never even met looking to hook me up either with themselves or with someone else I've never met.

Seeing as we can't moderate PMs there's not much we can do about people talking about mates in PMs.

Altogether - No, mates should still be allowed in Forum RPs only (Although I can think of better things to RP about). In RP box, shoutbox, profiles and the rest of the sites, yeah, they should be gotten rid of.

I personally hate it and think it's pretty creepy anyway...especially when someone says they've "had pups"...er, hello! You're a human!

Well, I say its ok to have mates aslong as you keep it in PMs and not talking about mates on the shout box and such. Its fine to have mates aslong as they don't complain about their mate breaking up with them on the shout box. That gets really annoying. And theres really no way to stop mates. People are just going to keep having mates.

Yeah, i had that problem once when the person was all up in my face in the sb, and i was like 'heck no!" ugh.. annoyances. it's not so much they are bad or anything, it's just people do not follow the rules, which seems to make everyone mad. It makes me unhappy when people go into rp and post *searches for a mate* god..that annoys me.
